A pair of welterweight bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night 51 as George Sullivan faces Igor Araujo and Paulo Thiago faces Mike Rhodes. Sullivan is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Mike Rhodes at UFC On Fox X. Araujo is also undefeated in UFC competition, most notably defeating Ildemar Alcantara at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields.
Thiago has only won two of his last eight bouts under the UFC banner, with his last fight being a loss to Gasan Umalatov at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil III Finale. Rhodes is currently winless under the UFC banner, last losing to Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Night: Te Huna vs. Marquardt. UFC Fight Night 51 takes place on September 13th from the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil with Antonio Silva and Andrei Arlovski headlining.
