NATIONAL PRO WRESTLING HALL OF FAME CEREMONIES THIS WEEKEND

Press Release for 2014 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Show presented by Impact Pro Wrestling

Friday, July 18th, as part of the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame induction weekend in Waterloo, Iowa, Impact Pro Wrestling will present their annual Hall of Fame Wrestling Show. Many of this year’s and past year's hall of fame inductees and special honorees will be attending the wrestling event on Friday evening.  They include Diamond Dallas Page, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Randy Couture, Jim Ross, Baron Von Raschke, Gerald Brisco, Wes Brisco, Danny Hodge, Larry Henning, Colt Cabana, Dan Gable and many more. This is a truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to have these wrestling greats under the same roof at one time. Proceeds from the event will go to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. The museum, located in Waterloo, Iowa, houses the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame wing.

Weekend activities include a professional wrestling tryout with Hall of Famers Gerald Brisco and Jim Ross on Friday at 12 PM, a professional wrestling show on Friday at 7 PM, an autograph signing on Saturday afternoon, a Hall of Fame banquet on Saturday evening.

The 2014 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame induction class includes Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Wilbur Snyder (posthumously), Dallas Page (Frank Gotch Award), Larry Hennig (Lou Thesz Award), Randy Couture (George Tragos Award), and Larry Matysik (Jim Melby Award).

Tickets to the Impact Professional Wrestling Show on Friday, July 18 are $20 for ringside and $15 for general admission.

Tickets to the banquet are $50, which includes dinner, social hour, and induction speeches. Anyone interested in attending should contact the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum at (319) 233-0745 or dgmstaff@nwhof.org.

The Impact Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame Show will feature Colt Cabana, Wes Brisco and the 3rd Annual Legends Lumberjack match!

Matches will be presided over by Waterloo/Cedar Falls' own, Senior Impact Pro Wrestling Referee Billy J.

The doors open for the event at 5:30 PM with a 7 PM bell time. There will be plenty of time for fans to interact with the wrestling legends before the show. It is a very laid back atmosphere that is designed to be fan-friendly. The wrestling show will take place at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center

Thursday, July 17

6 p.m. – Ribbon cutting at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum for the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and a tribute to the life of Mad Dog Vachon. Reception with appetizers and drinks following ribbon cutting.

(All-access pass holders and hall of fame inductees only).

Friday, July 18

Noon – Impact Pro Wrestling evaluation with Gerald Brisco at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.

5:30 p.m. – Doors open to the Impact Pro Wrestling show at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. Autographs with professional wrestling legends begins.

7 p.m. – Impact Pro Wrestling show starts at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.

Saturday, July 19

9 a.m. to noon – Doors open at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum for all-access pass holders. Special live broadcast of Takedown Wrestling radio with Scott Casber airs from the Dan Gable Museum.

11:00 a.m. – Story hour with professional wrestling legends.

(All-access pass holders only).

11:55 a.m. – Exclusive raffle for all access pass holders.

Noon – Doors open at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum to general public.

12:30 p.m. – Salute to the legacy of Baron Von Raschke (includes panel discussion with professional wrestling legends) at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.

1:30 p.m. – Autograph signing with professional wrestling legends at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum.

(All-access pass holders allowed to enter first).

5 p.m.Hall of Fame reception at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center

6 p.m. – Induction banquet at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center

7 p.m. – Induction ceremony at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center with Jim Ross as Master of Ceremonies

Sunday, July 20

9 a.m. – Special breakfast at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum
