A welterweight division contest that will be pitting Rory MacDonald in the octagon against Tarec Saffiedine. MacDonald has won seven of his last eight under the UFC banner and he will enter the bout on a two fight winning streak. Saffiedine is currently undefeated in UFC competition and he was the final Strikeforce Welterweight Champion. UFC Fight Night 54 takes place on October 4th from the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
