A pair of title fights will headline the World Series Of Fighting 16 as Rousimar Palhares defends the welterweight title against Jon Fitch and Justin Gaethje defends the lightweight title against Melvin Guillard. Palhares will be making the first defense of his championship, as he defeated Steve Carl at the WSOF IX to win the gold. Fitch has won two of three under the WSOF banner, most notably defeating Dennis Hallman at the WSOF 11.
Gaethje will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending against Nick Newell at the WSOF 11. Guillard is currently undefeated in WSOF competition, having defeated Gesias Cavalcante at the WSOF 11. World Series Of Fighting 16 takes place on December 27th from a location TBA with Rousimar Palhares and Jon Fitch headlining.
