Despite never actually stepping into the octagon due to injuries, Geronimo Dos Santos has requested and received a release from the UFC. Prior to coming to the UFC, Dos Santos had competed against UFC veterans Josh Barnett and Junior Dos Santos, suffering defeats to both. Dos Santos has not competed in over two years due to injuries, last defeating Marcio Luis at Rondonia Show Fight I.
