Despite having just competed once in Bellator MMA, Phil Baroni has already been released by the promotion. In his lone promotional appearance, Baroni was knocked out by fellow UFC veteran Karo Parisyan at Bellator 122. The fight marked Baroni's return to MMA after he suffered a gruesome ankle injury to Nobutatsu Suzuki at One FC IX.
