All Pro Wrestling presented #WarAtTheShore 9/6/14 in Daly City at the Bayshore Community Center.
Drawing 450ish. Crowd was hot all night.
1. Virgil Flynn won a 16 man battle royal to earn the right to wrestle in the 3 way dance along with Chris Hero & Jeckles for the APW Worldwide Internet Title. Flynn filled Jeff Cobb's spot in the 3 way due to Cobb being in Orlando for a WWE tryout camp.**1/2
2."Mr. Prime Time" MPT defeated Jonny Yen. MPT is back in APW after a long absence **
3."The Iron Idol" Idris Jackson defeated Dalton Frost (sub for Matt Striker due to Striker being in LA doing commentary for Lucha Underground) **
4. Truex pinned Marcus Lewis after using the chain fist punch gimmick. **
5. APW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS The Classic Connection (Levi Shapiro & Buddy Royal) (c) with Donovan Troi defeated T'Lo the Insano & Chicano Flame. Chicano Flame was attacked backstage and T'Lo wrestled the match alone.Flame appeared at the end of the match for a hot tag.
After the tag Flame joined Levi & Buddy in attacking T'Lo. Flame removed his mask revealing the newest member of The Classic Connection, "The Shooter" Dominic Simon. *1/4
6."The God of War" JR Kratos defeated "The Monstrous" Brodus Clay with Matthew Theall. BC did not want Theall's help. Theall's interference backfired and Kratos rolled up BC for the
win.This matched needed more time and was hurt by Theall's presence. Kratos killed Theall afterwards with a nasty looking chokeslam/miracle extacy type move then BC finished Theall off with the Somebody Better Call Yo Mama big splash finisher.**
7. "King of Sleaze" Joey Ryan defeated "Chocolate Thunder" Willie Mack. Ryan used a superkick to send Mack to NXT in florida. This was Willie's NorCal farwell match. Crowd went wild for this match. ****.Crowd gave the match a standing ovation
8. APW WORLDWIDE INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP "Knockout Artist" Chris Hero (c) vs Jeckles vs Virgil Flynn. Way too much action to type up. Jeckles was eliminated first. Flynn pinned Hero to win the title. ****1/2. NorCal MOTYC.Crowd gave the match a standing ovation. After the match "Bad Boy" Boyce LeGrande turned heel and attacked Virgil Flynn. Boyce cut a promo saying that the Worldwide Internet Title is the only piece of APW hardware that he has yet to wear.
9. MAIN EVENT:10-Man Tag Team Elimination Match
APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Rik Luxury & "The Golden Boy" Dylan Drake & "The Nice Guy" Vinnie Massaro &
Pink Mink Inc: Matt Carlos & El Pistolero with Markus Mac vs.
"Double D" Dave Dutra & "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson & "Money Maker" Will Cuevas & The Reno SCUM: Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend. WILD match. Brawling around ringside,way too many eliminations to list. Drake eliminated Cuevas with a handfull of tights to continue their fued. This was a 1987 WWF Survivpr Series type match throwling multiple fueds into a big tag match. The sole survivers where The Reno SCUM: Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend. The SCUM issued an open challenge to any tag team for a match at Halloween Hell on October 25th in Daly City. The Reno SCUM are in the top 5 tag teams in the Indies.Match was wild and the crowd went nuts at the finish.Crowd gave the match a standing ovation.Another NorCal MOTYC. ****1/2.
Overall an amazing show. Markus Mac and the rest of the APW crew have really stepped things up since Roland Alexander's passing.This was APW's best show since their re-birth in Daly City.I'd be re-missed if I didn't put over the young talent. There where quite a few students/graduates of the APW Boot Camp that worked the show and looked great. You can tell that these kids have to fire and will to do this and they are trained very well. One performer that stood out was "Money Maker" Will Cuevas. Will has a great look,connects with the fans and knows how to hustle his stuff at the gimmick table. The future is bright and we are in the middle of an Indy Pro Wrestling Boom.
Join us next month on Saturday October 25th for APW's Annual Holloween Hell at the Bayshore Community Center in Daly City. The Main Event has already been signed. The Main Event will be for the APW Universal Heavyweight Title as "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury defend his title against Matt Hardy!
