A pair of featherweights are set to collide at UFC 179 as Darren Elkins steps into the octagon to battle Lucas Martins. Elkins has only won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Hatsu Hioki at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann II. Martins will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, most notably defeating Jeremy Larsen at UFC On FX VIII. UFC 179 takes place on October 25th from the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes headlining.
