A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 179 as Christos Giagos is in action against Gilbert Burns. Giagos will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is the current Resurrection Fighting Alliance Lightweight Champion. Burns has already competed once in the UFC, having defeated Andreas Stahl by decision at UFC On Fox 12. UFC 179 takes place on October 25th from the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes headlining.
