UFC/STRIKEFORCE VET JORGE GURGEL RETIRES

Following the untimely death of his mother, Jorge Gurgel has announced his retirement from MMA competition, his record was 14-10-0. During his twelve year MMA career, Gurgel fought top names like Mark Hominick, Alvin Robinson, Cole Miller, KJ Noons, Adriano Martins and Mike Ricci. Gurgel last competed at Titan Fighting Championships 27, where he suffered a TKO loss to the aforementioned Ricci. Gurgel is also known as one of the better coaches in MMA, leading Rich Franklin to the UFC Middleweight Title and Zoila Frausto to the Bellator MMA Women's Flyweight Title.
