This is my second visit in a row to the Monster Factory Pro Wrestling monthly live events. I was very excited for the card, it had a lot of potential for surprises, fun combinations, and just flat out good wrestling. There was a change to the main event, unfortunately, after challenger Billy Damiana was involved in a car accident with a drunk driver, and was unable to compete. Now, Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Luis “The Punisher” Martinez will have to defend against the winner of a Four Way Scramble match involving four of the top contenders to his championship.
There is also a rematch between former WWF and NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Headbangers, and the current Monster Factory Pro Wrestling and WXW C4 Tag Team Champions, Clutch Adams and Mike Spanos, The Factory’s Finest. It should be an interesting match between the resurging Headbangers, and the up and coming young studs, Spanos & Adams.

To open the show, the tag team of AC Roc (Marc Cruz and Shaheem Ali) come out. Ali was taken out of action with a leg injury, during Roc’s title shot against The Factory’s Finest. Ali comes out hopping on crutches, with help from his partner Cruz. But wait, it’s all a ploy, as when their music kicks in, he drops the crutches, and both men dance their way to the ring, as the Factory faithful join in.
AC Roc invokes their rematch clause against The Factory’s Finest, for a shot to regain the Monster Factory Tag Team Championship. They note that the legendary “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe is in attendance, and Larry gets a great reaction from the fans. They complain that when Spanos & Adams are done preparing for a match, the locker room is covered in baby oil! They may have the muscle, but they sure can’t shuffle. They warn them to be ready for the rematch on Saturday October 25th, and they dance their way out, with Ali on Cruz’s back.

“The Upgrade” Mike Reed vs. “LSG” Leon St. Giovanni
Reed has the experience edge here. LSG won his first match since returning to Monster Factory Pro Wrestling, last month, with a win over Will Ferrara. To start, Reed works on LSG’s arm. LSG reciprocates, with a nice kip up, and arm drag, and an even nicer drop kick with connect on the point of Reed’s jaw. This serves to anger Reed, who takes back over with a vicious backbreaker, and a back suplex.
Reed continues to dish out the punishment with a short arm clothesline, a picture perfect suplex, and some hard knee drops. He slaps on a chinlock to stay firmly in control. LSG pulls his energy from the support of the crowd, and fights back with a stiff elbow to Reed’s face. He continues with comeback with a nice diving clothesline, but he cannot keep the momentum, and Reed stuns him with a swinging facebuster (which he calls The Upgrade) for the win.
Decision: Mike Reed wins by pinfall. This was a very good opener. LSG definitely has the crowd on his side, but he couldn’t keep the positive momentum going here against the veteran Reed.

Milk Chocolate (Brandon Watts & Randy Summers) vs. The Bloodbound Warriors (Grey Wolf & Red Scorpion)
Though Milk Chocolate were babyfaces last time, they come out with a rather smug attitude towards the crowd. The Warriors come out super over, and absolutely dominate. Grey Wolf tosses Summers over to his corner with a beell, insultingly forcing a tag. He tags in Scorpion, who continues the squash, and hits an awesome move, where he tosses Watts in the air and lands a European uppercut that is guaranteed to result in a visit to the dentist. Greywolf comes in and hits a devastating power slam to end the carnage.
Decision: The Bloodbound Warriors win by pinfall. Milk Chocolate never got out of the gates here, and were absolutely dominated by the Warriors. Whoever winds up with the Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship should watch out for these guys.

Four Way Scramble Match for a shot at the Monster Factory Heavyweight Championship in the main event
“Addicted To Love” Rhett Titus vs. Marc Cruz vs. Donovan Dijak vs. Ryan “Adrenaline” Rush
Titus is well known from his ROH experience, where he was a World Tag Team Champion. Cruz is a former Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, and I am sure he wouldn’t mind being back on top. Donovan Dijak is a 6”7 275 lb. monster, who has a look and presence that leads me to believe, he won’t be on the Indies long. Ryan Rush won a big match against Ahtu last month, and left me very impressed. This should be good.
Cruz comes out for the second time tonight, and is just as over as he was at the beginning of the show. Rhett Titus grabs the mic and says he should automatically be granted to title shot, since he is the one who whipped Billy Damiana’s butt last month, and rendered him unable to compete here tonight. He feels he shouldn’t have to wrestle at all, and he walks out in frustration.
Rush and Dijak immediately make a pact to take Cruz out, and then to fight it out amongst themselves for the championship match. They hit a double suplex for a two count, but cracks start to show among the partnership almost immediately, as Dijak spends most of his time jawing at Rush, and bossing him around.
The beating continues with a knee drop from Rush, and Dijak paintbrushes Cruz with several forearms. The two hit a double elbow drop, but wind up getting in each other’s faces due to Dijak still barking out orders. Dijak is super frustrated with their inability to keep Cruz down. While the two big guys argue, Cruz recovers and hits a double clothesline. Dijak goes outside to recuperate.
Cruz keeps in control for a little while, hitting a slam and a leg drop for a two count, but ultimately, he finds himself outnumbered. The combination of a Rush big boot, and a roaring elbow from Dijak sends him down for the three count. It’s now down to Ryan Rush vs. Donovan Dijak to see who moves on to the main event.
The two engage in a forearm battle, Rush gets the advantage and hits a very high dropkick, impressive for a man his size. Rush is showing lots of fire, and the crowd is behind him, rightly so. “Let’s Go Ryan!” chants fill the Monster Factory. Rush continues to have the advantage after reversing a Dijak suplex, but makes a mistake, and runs right into a tilt a whirl slam from Donovan.
Rush tries to come back, but Dijak hits a beautiful sidekick to send the big man down. He hits a big time overhead belly to belly suplex for another two count. Dijak misses a charge in the corner, and Rush is full of adrenaline (no pun intended.) He hits a dropkick into the corner, and nails a spinning kick to send Dijak down for the 1, 2, and 3.
Rush prepares to celebrate is victory, but Titus sneaks back in and hits a high famouser and gets the pin and the win. Rhett Titus will now face Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Luis Martinez for the championship in the main event. Dijak sells the effects of Rush’s kick, as he crawls all the way to the back. Rush gets a round of applause, and more “Ryan Rush” chants, but unfortunately, tonight is not his night.
Decision: Rhett Titus wins via pinfall on Ryan Rush to earn a heavyweight championship match later in the evening. This was a very good match. All four men had their opportunity to shine, and took full advantage. Cruz was charismatic as always, Dijak was entertaining and impressive, both with his character and his in ring ability, and Ryan Rush looked great all around.

“The Hype” Will Ferrara vs. Cheeseburger
Ferrara has competed for Ring of Honor in the past. He was upset by LSG last month, and is looking to take out his frustration on someone. Enter ROH’s Cheeseburger. Burger is a small, skinnier wrestler than we are used to seeing, but he was trained by Delirious, Charlie Haas and Bob Evans, so I am sure he can go.
Ferrara refuses a handshake to start the match. Burger locks on a headlock, but it gets reversed. Ferrara takes control with a shoulder tackle, but Cheeseburger hits a rolling sunset flip for two. He forces Ferrara to shake his hand, in a comedic spot. After a spot, he attempts a kip up, which Ferrara counters with a face plant, which was a cool little deal.
Ferrara continues to control the match, with a knee choke in the corner, and a stiff dropkick. He jams his knee into Burger’s back in an attempt at a submission, but Burger counters with a jawbreaker. He tries a small package for the win, but Ferrara kicks out, and nails him with several elbows. Burger shows resilience, and tries a rollup, but “The Hype” kicks out yet again, and gets back in control.
Ferrara puts on a camel clutch/chinlock to wear Burger down, but he forces his way out, and hits a sweet cross body for two. Burger comes off the top with a double axe handle, but Ferrara again recovers, and hits a rough gutbuster into an arm bar submission. With the support from the crowd, especially the kids, Burger again works his way out, and in the following sequence he hits a hesitation DDT for the three count.
Decision: Cheeseburger wins by pinfall with a DDT. These two put on an entertaining match for the crowd, and the kids were especially behind Burger. Ferrara loses again, but still looks impressive, and makes me an even bigger fan of his.

Nick Comoroto vs. “The Pride of Paulsboro” Anthony Bennett
Comoroto is a massive, powerful wrestler, listed at 6”3 275, but I’d guess he’s grown since those measurements. Bennett is listed as 5”9 (w/ high top fade included!) and 168 lbs. The sky is the limit for the extremely athletic Bennett, though his size may make it hard for him to get a second look. In the first look though, he’s charismatic as hell, and a great, great worker. As for Comoroto, he is definitely coming into his own, both in his violent, uncontrollable character, and in his stiff in ring work.
Bennett is one of the most popular wrestlers in Monster Factory Pro Wrestling, if not the most popular. He plays his role extremely well, as he dances his way to the ring, playing fun babyface, but once he gets in there, he’s all business. It’s a cool transition to watch him make. Comoroto, of course, has no sense of humor, either in his entrance, or in the ring. He just wants to destroy anything in his path.
Comorato immediately starts bullying Bennett, as everything Bennett attempts, he just shrugs off. Bennett tries a high risk move and pays for it, with Comoroto hitting a devastating swinging backbreaker.  He carries Bennett with ease from corner to corner, driving him back first into the turnbuckles, and he utilizes some brutalizing forearm smashes.
Comoroto slaps on a full nelson, and follows it up with one of the stiffest strikes to the back I’ve ever seen. A big leg drop gets him a two count. He shows a little frustration at Bennett’s heart, and screams at him to stay down. Bennett attempts to come back with a drop kick, but he kips up…right into a Masterlock style full nelson, and it’s academic from there. Bennett can’t survive the massive Comorato’s swinging full nelson, and his arm drops three times.
Decision: Comoroto wins after Bennett cannot continue after a swinging full nelson. This was a really good match, a good use of the big man vs. little man, David vs. Goliath dynamic. Bennett fought his heart out, but he simple couldn’t compete with the devastating offense of Nick Comoroto. If Comoroto continues to dominate and impress, I can’t see 2014 concluding without him taking aim at the Monster Factory Heavyweight Championship.

Chad Kensington, Royal Money, and Nate Francis march down to the ring with a purpose. The three are Monster Factory students, who feel they have been overlooked and disrespected by Monster Factory owner/head trainer Danny Cage, and have been releasing internet promos that state as such. Kensington leads this faction, at least on the microphone, and he informs the crowd that they will no longer be mopping floors, taking tickets, or cleaning up after the slobs in their seats right now. They are tired of not being booked, but guess what? They are booking themselves right now, and they issue an open challenge.
Unfortunately for them, the dominant earlier Bloodbound Warriors answer them. Apparently, they didn’t satisfy their appetite for destruction enough against Milk Chocolate, and they come out to unleash some more. They come out and batter all three students unmercifully. Kensington is singled out, and they pull his underwear up over his head, ripping it! After the atomic wedgie, and some more beating, the three students are piled up one by one, and hit with a big splash to lose this “match.”
This was an excellent little segment, with Kensington making the most of his mic time, by far. If they continue to interrupt the shows, and finally get the better of someone, or maybe even sneak attack Owner Danny Cage, that could provide a lot of interesting content for the future Monster Factory TV channel. The channel will be available, free of charge, on Roku later this fall, or early in the winter.

Monster Factory Tag Team Championship
The Factory’s Finest (Michael Spanos & Clutch Adams) © vs. The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher)
Adams mocks the fans on his way in, flipping off one fan’s hat. He is really into messing with them, and it’s extremely entertaining. Spanos comes out as smug as can be, headphones and sunglasses on. Mosh steals Spanos’ sunglasses and put them on himself, before kicking them to ringside. Some wrestlers age extremely poorly, sometimes no longer even resembling the character the fans remember from TV. The Headbangers are not like that at all. They pretty much resemble the same guys who were on WWF TV from 1997-2000, to a tee.
The Headbangers have championship belts with them, and they are announced as the “Tag Team Champions of the Universe. Clutch spits at Thrasher, and I get the feeling he is going to regret that. The crowd gets on Clutch’s case about his parentage, as he insists that neither Headbanger is his father! Spanos and Mosh start the action, and Spanos takes control with a headlock and a shoulder tackle, but Mosh responds in kind with a power slam.
Spanos attempts to take a powder to consult with his partner Adams, when Thrasher scores with a plancha to the floor on both of them. Back in the ring, Clutch gets chopped to hell, on both his chest and his back, and he takes a monkey flip. Thrasher lifts Clutch onto the top turnbuckle, and scores with a back suplex from the second rope. My prediction was correct, as Adams is paying all sorts of penalties for spitting at the veteran earlier.
The Bangers hit Adams with an old school double flapjack, and they both continue to chop away at his chest and back. I am absolutely positive Clutch Adams woke up with welts Sunday morning. Spanos has seen enough, and he interferes with a DDT. The referee quizzes Spanos as to whether there was a tag, to which Spanos replies “Of course I tagged!” As Bobby Heenan liked to say, “What’s he gonna do, admit he didn’t tag? Of course he is going to say yes!”
The Finest double team choke Mosh, and Clutch hits a big time leg drop, and gets a two count, as Thrasher makes the slap with another cringe worthy chop to his back. Spanos & Adams remain in control, with quick double teams, and Adams clamps on an arm bar. Thrasher is now the legal man, and Clutch nails a clothesline. Spanos is in to hit a gravity defying dropkick, and demands the crowd look at and appreciate his abs!
They attempt a double team, but there is confusion, and Adams accidentally hits a famouser on his partner Spanos. The Headbangers execute some double team moves on Adams, and he and Spanos decide they’ve seen enough, and they try to make an exit to the back for the count out loss. However, AC Roc stops them at the door, and forces them back to face the waiting Headbangers.
Spanos gets thrown into the walls of the Monster Factory twice, and is left lying. Clutch Adams is in no man’s land in the ring, and he gets hit with the Liger bomb and flying leg drop combo by the Headbangers, known at the Stage Dive. But once wasn’t enough, and they nail it again. Poor Clutch has taken quit a whipping in this match.
Spanos saves his partner Adams, and helps him away, and they actually left the building through a side door! They slam the door on their way out, causing several picture frames of Monster alumni to fall from the wall and break! It’s a count out win for the Headbangers, but that’s not good enough for them. Mosh gets the mic, and says he considers them the new Monster Factory Tag Team Champions! They leave with the belts, and who knows where the Factory’s Finest went!
Decision: The Headbangers win by count out, and the Factory’s Finest retain their Monster Factory Tag Team championship. This was an excellent match, as Spanos & Adams show their star qualities once again. Both men are young, highly athletic, and are already pretty damn good heels. They gel better than a lot of tag teams I’ve seen over the years. Clutch Adams had a target on his back from the moment the bell rung, and the veteran Headbangers made sure they got their shots in on him. The Bangers definitely showed they still have it, and I hope to see a rematch in the future.

Monster Factory Super Sonic Championship Match
“Good News” Tim Hughes © vs. Mikey Webb
Webb comes out as a surprise opponent. Originally, Alvarado was set to get the title shot here, having won a four way scramble match to earn it last month, but unfortunately, he was unable to make the show. It’s the right place, the right time, and the right opportunity for Webb, who has experience in Ring of Honor, LPW, TRP, and Beyond Wrestling. His career has seen him in the ring with such names as Tomasso Ciampa, Slyck Wagner Brown, 2 Cold Scorpio, and Buff Bagwell. Can he use the surprise advantage over Tim Hughes?
Hughes starts the match using his customary towel slaps to try and make Webb unravel. The champion has the early advantage with an atomic drop, a big body slam, and a monkey flip, but Webb takes the advantage after a blatant eye poke. He uses a neck snap to the outside on Hughes, then mocks him back in the ring, by pulling on his mustache. Hughes tries to fight back, but is beaten down by Webb.
He shows his tenacity however, as he keeps coming at Webb. He nearly scores a pinfall with a schoolboy out of nowhere, and he scores with a dropkick. Webb takes the advantage back after a power move, and locks in a chinlock to wear the champion down. Hughes fights his way out with the support of the crowd, hits a series of clotheslines, a Polish hammer, and a side suplex.  An X Factor from the second rope impresses the crowd, and nearly ends the match.
Webb bounces back and attempts a jumping cutter, but misses, and Hughes looks to end this match with his Earthquake splash. As he comes off the ropes, Webb kips up and NAILS Hughes with a super kick. 1, 2, 3, and we have a NEW Super Sonic Champion. Webb celebrates and the crowd is stunned.
Result: Mikey Webb wins via pinfall, and becomes the new Monster Factory Super Sonic Champion. These two had a really good match, despite probably not knowing they were facing each other until just before the show. The crowd was really into it, and they will be even more into Hughes chasing his title.

Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Match
Luis “The Punisher” Martinez © vs. “Addicted To Love” Rhett Titus
I am convinced that Titus’ music is the greatest entrance theme in pro wrestling history. However, the crowd absolutely loves Martinez. The loud reaction has Titus insisting on silence before he wrestles this match! A hard slap from Rhett to the champion starts the match, and that wasn’t his wisest decision. Luis goes for a choke slam to end things earlier, but Rhett slides out of the ring.
Upon reentering, Luis clearly shows his power advantage, and Titus is hesitant to lock up. Once they do however, the craft veteran gets the champion into the corner, but it is quickly reversed, and Martinez lands several powerful strikes. Titus gets out to the center of the ring and demands a test of strength! Of course, he suckers the champion in, and tries to get a pinfall while forcing his shoulders to the mat.
Martinez quickly recovers, and hits a short arm clothesline. He rams Rhett’s head into the turnbuckle, receives a “one more time” chant, and delivers another, as Titus does an HBK esque bump off of it. “The Punisher” continues on the offensive, slapping Titus in the ribs, connecting with a KO punch, and hitting a flying back elbow, showing great agility for his size. He lifts Titus up for a suplex, holds him up Bulldog style, and then just throws him to the mat.
Martinez goes for a running boot in the corner and misses, hanging his leg over the top rope. Titus lands several punches in the corner, kicks Martinez’s leg, sending the big man to his knees, and hits a stiff kick to his head, sending him to the mat. Titus drags the champ by his leg to the corner, and posts the knee. He’s working on chopping the big man down.
Rhett utilizes a stepover toe hold, and drops down with Martinez’s leg. He allows the big man to get up, and chop blocks him back down. Titus takes time to mock the crowd and their hero, and drops a knee on Luis’ leg to keep the punishment coming. He locks on a figure four leglock, as the crowd’s “Luis” chants get louder and louder. Martinez turns the painful submission hold over, and now the crowd chants “Tap!” Titus has to release the hold.
He continues to kick the leg as Martinez gets to his feet, but the champ is Hulking up! They exchange punches, and the champion gets the better of it, and sends Titus into the ropes for a sky high back body drop! Luis scores with a big time super kick, and clotheslines Rhett out of the ring and to the floor. As Titus gets back in, he is torn in half by a spear, and we almost saw the match end, but Rhett gets his foot on the rope.
The match is really flowing now, as Titus nails a dropkick, but Martinez comes back with a spinning leg lariat. Martinez attempts a top rope move, but gets caught, and Titus goes right back to punishing the leg, with a single leg Boston crab, but Luis gets to the ropes. Titus slaps on the crab again, and Martinez fights out, but Titus is relentless and puts it on yet again.
Martinez gets a small package for two. The crowd is almost begging for Luis to get up and fight back! They are really emotionally invested in their champion. Titus goes for another figure four, but is kicked out of the ring. Martinez limps over, and chokeslams Titus back into the ring from the outside, in an impressive feat of strength! He gets the pinfall victory, and his fans all celebrate!
Result: Luis Martinez wins by pinfall and retains the Monster Factory Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. Man, Martinez is extremely over. You could feel the air getting sucked out of the crowd every time he was in danger. For his part, Titus was equal parts smug and vicious, and the crowd believed he was going to knock their beloved champion off his throne several times. Great main event, great job by both men, and another awesome show overall. I cannot stress enough how much these shows are worth your hard earned money, especially if you are a parent. The kids I see in these audiences are given an interactive experience, and have the time of their lives. Kudos to Danny Cage, QT Marshall, Rhett Titus, and the entire Monster Factory locker room for another tremendous evening!

The next show is on Saturday October 25th, and already, the return of Monster Factory alumni Cliff Compton has been announced! Luis Martinez will defend his Heavyweight Championship as well, and AC Roc will face The Factory’s Finest. Whether or not the Headbangers will have returned the title belts or not by then, remains to be seen. Thanks for readin
