SCOTLAND'S INSANE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TO TOUR UK FOR FIRST TIME WITH KENDRICK, LONDON AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 9/30/2014 10:34 AM

Insane Championship Wrestling, the premier over 18's professional wrestling company in Europe today, is embarking on it's very first UK tour this week, which will see the promotion perform in 5 cities up and down the country throughout the month of October. This Sunday October 5th, the first event of the tour, ICW: Helter Skelter, takes place at the o2 Academy Newcastle, marking Insane Championship Wrestling's second trip to the city.

Insane Championship Wrestling, based in Glasgow, Scotland, has grown over the last few years into one of the hottest entertainment attractions in Scotland. Originally held in a small community center hall, ICW now sells out some of the biggest nightclubs in Glasgow on a monthly basis, with the company performing to it's largest crowd to date recently, at it's third event to be held at the O2 ABC. As an over 18's promotion, ICW prides itself on being the alternative for todays wrestling fan, combining the athleticism and showmanship of Professional Wrestling, with the atmosphere of a rock concert, which allows the events to be enjoyed by everyone from the most devoted wrestling fan, to a person experiencing the show for the very first time. As a result of this, ICW has garnered a fiercely loyal and supportive fanbase, who travel the length and breadth of the country to be part of, what many in the Professional Wrestling world are calling, a revolution. ICW has also taken the huge step this year of stepping outwith the confines of Glasgow to hold sell out shows in Edinburgh, London and Newcastle, all within a matter of months. Due to this popularity, ICW was the focal point of the critically acclaimed BBC documentary 'Insane Fight Club' which aired on BBC One earlier this year, attracting over 1.2 Million viewers nationwide. Since then, ICW's popularity has grown rapidly, with the company growing from a small Glasgow wrestling promotion, into a national cult phenomenon. Filming has already begun on the follow-up to 'Insane Fight Club', with additional filming set to take place on all four nights of the 'Magical Mystery Tour'.

Looking to bring the full ICW experience to fans south of the border, the top homegrown and international stars of Insane Championship Wrestling will be making their way to the o2 Academy Newcastle on October 5th for an absolutely stacked show. ICW Heavyweight Champion, and star of BBC One's 'Insane Fight Club' Jack Jester will defend his title against 'The Beast of Belfast' Damo and 'Bad Boy' Liam Thomson in Triple Threat contest, while the ICW Tag Team Champions Chris Renfrew & BT Gunn of the New Age Kliq put their gold on the line against former WWE and World Tag Team Champions, Paul London & Brian Kendrick, who will be teaming together for the first time in ICW. Also appearing on the show will be ICW Zero-G Champion Kenny Williams, star of ITV's 'Take Me Out' and Challenge TV's ' TNA British Bootcamp' Marty Scurll, star of Challenge TV's upcoming 'TNA British Bootcamp 2' Noam Dar, Wolfgang, Johnny Moss, Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, Stevie Boy, Kid Fite, and Rampage Brown.
