Following the injury to Robert Whittaker, Joe Lauzon has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Diego Sanchez at UFC 180. Lauzon enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with both wins coming over previous TUF champions. Sanchez has only won just two of his last five fights, with his last fight being a win over Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov. UFC 180 takes place on November 15th from the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico with Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum headlining.
