UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator MMA veteran Shamar Bailey has announced his retirement from the sport, his record was 16-10-0. Bailey fought three times in the UFC in 2011, defeating Ryan McGillivray, while suffering losses to Evan Dunham and Danny Castillo. During his eight year MMA career, Bailey fought top names like Waachiim Spiritwolf, Roger Bowling, Justin Wilcox, Evan Dunham, Danny Castillo, Josh Shockley, Gideon Ray and Luis Santos. Bailey’s last bout as a professional came at Hoosier Fight Club 19 earlier this year, where he suffered a defeat to Kevin Nowaczyk.
