Fight #7 – CWFC Featherweight Division Fight

Danny Sutter (0-0-0) vs. Michael Abbott (0-0-0)

Referee: Rich Mitchell

Round One

The round begins with Abbott cracking Sutter with a few leg kicks, Sutter puts Abbott against the cage wall while landing knee strikes. Abbott breaks away from Sutter after landing a knee strike of his own, the fighters exchange some kicks near the cage wall. Sutter hits Abbott with some illegal elbow strikes and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with Sutter holding Abbott on the cage wall. Abbott breaks free again and he nails Sutter with an uppercut, Sutter again holds Abbott against the cage wall while using dirty boxing as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Abbott keeping Sutter at bay by throwing jabs, Abbott follows that up by kicking Sutter in the rib cage. Sutter forces Abbott against the cage wall while using some dirty boxing, Sutter again attacks Abbott with knee strikes. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Sutter nails Abbott with a right, Abbott fails at a takedown attempt and Sutter winds up with back control on him. Sutter attacks Abbott with a lot of ground and pound until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Danny Sutter def. Michael Abbott by TKO via strikes (3:09, R2)

Fight #8 - CWFC Featherweight Division Fight

Stephen Martin (3-2-0) vs. Paddy Pimblett (6-1-0)

Referee: Marc Goddard

Round One

The round begins with Martin attacking Pimblett with some leg kicks, Martin drops Pimblett with a left hook and he pounces on him with more strikes. Pimblett scrambles to his feet and he holds Martin against the cage wall, Pimblett looks for the takedown as Martin hits him with elbow strikes. Pimblett traps the arm of Martin while nailing him with a few rights, the fighters battle for position along the cage wall until the referee separates them. Martin again holds Pimblett against the cage wall while landing a few knee strikes, Pimblett scores a takedown on Martin and he gets caught in a guillotine choke. Pimblett scrambles to hit feet and he cracks Martin with an elbow strike as the round ends.

In between rounds, the doctor checked a cut on Stephen Martins head and the doctor said that the cut was to severe for the fight to continue.

Fight #9 - CWFC Flyweight Division Fight

Brett Caswell (5-1-0) vs. Marcin Lasota (8-0-0)

Referee: Marc Goddard

Round One

The round begins with Caswell attempting a handstand kick on Lasota, Caswell also starts nailing Lasota with leg kicks. Lasota forces Caswell into the cage wall while looking for a takedown, Lasota drags Caswell to the ground while landing a few strikes. Caswell wall walks to his feet and Lasota holds him against the cage wall, Caswell drags Lasota to the ground and they both pop right back up to their feet. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Caswell scores a takedown on Lasota, Lasota causes a scramble after a leg lock attempt to get the fight standing again. Lasota scores a takedown on Caswell as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Caswell quickly nailing Lasota with some leg kicks, Caswell follows that up by landing a three punch combo on Lasota. Lasota scores a takedown on Caswell and they both get right up, Lasota quickly scores a takedown on Caswell and he nearly gets caught in a guillotine choke. Lasota escapes the choke and he wall walks to his feet with Caswell holding onto him, Lasota scores another takedown on Caswell and Caswell quickly pops up to his feet. Caswell scores a takedown on Lasota as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Lasota putting Caswell against the cage wall after landing a wild right, Lasota scores a takedown on Caswell and he gets the half guard. Caswell stands up and Lasota drags him back to the ground with a heel hook attempt, Lasota releases the hold to get top position on Caswell. Lasota rolls for another heel hook and Caswell swings at him to break the grip, Lasota continuously goes for the heel hook on Caswell. Caswell eventually frees his leg as Lasota remains in the top position, Lasota goes for the heel hook again as the round ends.

Fight Result: Brett Caswell def. Marcin Lasota by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Fight #10 - CWFC Welterweight Division Fight

Matt Inman (13-6-0) vs. Lewis Long (8-3-0)

Referee: Rich Mitchell

Round One

The round begins with Inman quickly nailing Long with a head kick, Long scores a takedown on Inman and they both pop right up to their feet. Long quickly starts attacking Long with some leg kicks, Long then hits Inman with a wild right to the head. Inman tries to keep Long at a distance by throwing jabs, Long scores a takedown on Inman and he gets side control. Long postures up before attacking Inman with ground and pound, Long looks for a d’arce choke before nailing Inman with more strikes. Long transitions to back control on Inman while landing more strikes, Long locks in the rear naked choke and a tap out follows.

Fight Result: Lewis Long def. Matt Inman by submission via rear naked choke (4:16, R1)

Fight #11 - CWFC Flyweight Division Fight

Shaj Haque (5-1-0) vs. Damien Rooney (10-3-1)

Referee: Rich Mitchell

Round One

The round begins with Haque cracking a swinging Rooney with a counter right, Haque also starts hitting Rooney with some leg kicks. Rooney does his best to catch an incoming Haque with counter strikes, Haque backs up Rooney after landing a right to the midsection. Rooney attacks Haque with a head kick before eating a counter punch combination, Haque then cracks Rooney with a pair of left hooks. Haque keeps the pressure on Rooney by hitting him with a kick to the rib cage, Rooney kicks Haque low for a second time and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Haque swinging at Rooney as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Haque cracking Rooney with a right to the rib cage, Rooney responds by hitting Haque with a right of his own. Haque changes things up by catching Rooney with a kick to the rib cage, Rooney then pops a kicking Haque with a counter right. Haque slips while catching Rooney with a right to the midsection, Rooney looks for a takedown and Haque almost catches him in a guillotine choke. Rooney attacks Haque with a striking combo that ends with a kick to the rib cage as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Haque attacking Rooney with a few leg kicks, Rooney does his best to catch a swinging Haque with counter strikes. Haque then cracks Rooney with a kick to the midsection, Rooney then pops an incoming Haque with a right. The fighters engage in a wild striking exchange in the center of the cage, Rooney catches a ducking Haque with a short left. Rooney just swings away at Haque as the round ends.

Fight Result: Shaj Haque def. Damien Rooney by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Fight #12 - CWFC Welterweight Division Fight

Juan Manuel Suarez (15-6-0) vs. Jim Wallhead (25-9-0)

Referee: Marc Goddard

Round One

The round begins with both fighters attacking the other with leg kicks, Suarez catches an incoming Wallhead with a right. Suarez continues attacking Wallhead with striking combinations, Wallhead drops a swinging Suarez with a counter right. Wallhead pounces on a downed Suarez until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Jim Wallhead def. Juan Manuel Suarez by KO via strikes (1:49, R1)

Main Event #2 - CWFC Lightweight Title Fight

Stevie Ray (15-5-0) (Champion) vs. Curt Warburton (13-5-0)

Referee: Marc Goddard

Round One

The round begins with the fighters having a wild striking exchange, Warburton holds Ray against the cage wall while landing knee strikes. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Ray attacks Warburton with leg kicks, Ray scores a takedown on Warburton and he gets side control. Warburton trips up Ray with a heel hook attempt, Ray counters by going for heel hooks on Warburton as well. The fighters legs are locked up and they exchange a bunch of elbow strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Warburton backing up Ray with a striking combination, Warburton also attacks ray with some leg kicks. Ray drops Warburton with a straight left and he pounces on him with a bunch of strikes, Warburton goes for a heel hook and Ray escapes to deliver more strikes. Ray gets on top of Warburton and he gets the full mount while landing more strikes, Ray gets back control and he locks in the rear naked choke to force a tap out.

Fight Result: Stevie Ray def. Curt Warburton by submission via rear naked choke (2:00, R2) to retain the CWFC Lightweight Title
