Former World Series Of Fighting Welterweight Champion Steve Carl has been released by the promotion, his record is 21-4-0. Carl competed in the promotion four times, defeating Josh Burkman at the WSOF VI to become the inaugural WSOF Welterweight Champion. Carl would lose the title in his first defense to UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares at the WSOF IX, that would be his final bout in the promotion. Carl recently vented his frustrations about his time on Twitter, those actions would help lead to his release from the WSOF.
