JOHNNY DEVINE HEADING TO CWE

By Mike Johnson on 12/4/2014 1:09 AM

Former TNA X-Division Champion Makes CWE Debut At Christmas Chaos.

It is with great pride and pleasure Canadian Wrestling's Elite announces that on Friday, December 26th at Rookie's Sports Bar in Transcona former TNA X-Division Champion and Canadian wrestling legend "Hotshot" Johnny Devine makes his CWE debut!

The Winnipeg native started his rise to wrestling fame by relocating to Calgary, Alberta where he trained in the infamous Hart Dungeon. Upon graduation Johnny Devine started taking the Western Canadian wrestling scene by storm with his high octane smash mouth style of professional wrestling.

It wasn't long until Devine was on a national radar competing in matches for Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

Soon after "Hotshot" Johnny Devine joined a young TNA apart of Team Canada and had some classic encounters with the X Division's best. Devine reinvented himself over the years from Team Canada, to teaming with Alex Shelley apart of The Paparazzi, working under Raven in Serotonin, and being aligned with Team 3D.

On Friday, December 26th Devine will debut against a man he is very familiar with, "The Elite Athlete" Stefan Epic.

During an extended stay in Winnipeg in 2006 Johnny Devine headed up a wrestling school in town and two men on the roster that took every advantage of it were "Hotshot" Danny Duggan, the man Devine passed the "Hotshot" moniker down to and Stefan Epic.

In 2006 Stefan Epic very quickly became Devine's most polished pupil resulting in a very successful run in Manitoba in the year's following. Fast forward to 2014 and Stefan Epic is one of the most hated men at the Rookie's Sports Bar events and perhaps has the biggest chip on his shoulder in the entire locker room.

At Christmas Chaos it will be a classic battle of student vs. teacher but the student is far removed from class and has a reputation of being one of the toughest and meanest men inside a Canadian circle.

Johnny Devine returns home for a very special occasion and class will be in session but who will be leading the class? Find out on December 26th!
