TITAN FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 32 PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS

By David Tees on 12/18/2014 10:50 AM

This is the final weekend of MMA action for 2014, it will be a good one as there will be events from both Titan FC and the UFC. Kicking everything off will be Titan Fighting Championships 32, which features Desmond Green facing UFC veteran Steven Siler for the vacant Titan FC Featherweight Title. Also, former Bellator MMA competitor Rick Hawn makes his Titan FC debut and UFC veteran Iliarde Santos is in action.

Main Card

Main Event

Titan FC Featherweight Title Decision Fight

Desmond “The Predator” Green (13-3-0) vs. “Super” Steven Siler (23-13-0)

Green is arguably coming off of the biggest win of his MMA career, as he defeated a past his prime Miguel Torres at Titan FC 31. Siler will be competing for the first time since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Noad Lahat at UFC On Fox 12. Green also won three of five fights during his time in Bellator MMA, most notably defeating Mike Richman at Bellator 110. Siler is a replacement for fellow UFC veteran Kurt Holobaugh and he enters the fight on a three fight losing streak. Siler has trouble with fighters who constantly pressure him and that is what Green will do to him to get a third round TKO and the gold.

Co-Main Event

Titan FC Lightweight Division Fight

Rick “Genghis” Hawn (18-4-0) vs. Carlo “Neo” Prater (31-14-1)

Hawn makes his highly anticipated promotional debut after a four year run in Bellator MMA, where he won two different tournaments in two different weight classes. Prater is a UFC veteran who is returning to action after a nineteen month absence from competition, last competing at Legacy Fighting Championships 20 in May 2013. Hawn may be entering the fight on a two fight losing streak, but he does possesses some of the best one punch knockout power in the lightweight division. Prater has not been at a top level in a long time now, with his last major win being a controversial DQ win over Erick Silva at UFC 142 a few years back. Hawn is still a top level MMA fighter and Prater is well past his prime, Hawn will quickly knockout Prater in the first.

Titan FC Lightweight Division Fight

Ryan Quinn (10-4-1) vs. Milan Zerjal (6-0-0)

Quinn will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight, which includes a win over Ryan Sanders by decision at New England Fights 14. Zerjal will also be making his promotional debut in this fight, primarily competing in Pro FC up until this point. Quinn has seen some time competing on the big stage in Bellator MMA and he will use that big show experience to hand Zerjal his first pro MMA defeat via decision.

Titan FC Flyweight Division Fight

“Quick” Nick Honstein (16-8-0) vs. Iliarde Santos (27-9-1-1NC)

Honstein will be returning to Titan FC after suffering a controversial split decision loss to UFC veteran Pedro Nobre at Titan FC 30. Santos is a UFC veteran who will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight, he was cut by the UFC after a loss to Chris Cariaso at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields. Santos was never able to live up to his potential in the UFC, but he will use his striking skills to keep Honstein at a distance to earn a decision.

Titan FC Featherweight Division Fight

Andre Harrison (7-0-0) vs. Aaron Neveu (8-2-0-2NC)

Harrison will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight after spending his entire career until this point in the Ring Of Combat promotion. Neveu has won three of his last four fights and he has previously competed against WSOF veteran Cody Bollinger. Harris has mainly fought in two round fights as a pro, the potential of a third round could pose some cardio issues for the fighter and Neveu will take advantage by grinding out a decision.

Preliminary Card

Nick Drummond over John Ortalani

John Santos over Johnny Campbell

Nathan Oses over Wayne Ahlquist
