A bout for the Legacy Fighting Championships Heavyweight Title as champion Cody East defends against Joe Cason. East will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Vernon Lewis at Legacy FC 36. Cason has only competed one time in the last three years, but he has fought UFC veterans Ovince St. Preux and Sean Salmon. Legacy Fighting Championships 40 takes place on March 20th from Wild Bills in Atlanta, Georgia with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
