Fight #8 - UFC Flyweight Division Fight

Chris Cariaso (17-6-0) vs. Henry Cejudo (7-0-0)

Round One

The round begins with Cariaso cracking Cejudo with a kick to the midsection, Cejudo starts swinging wildly at Cariaso. Cejudo scores a takedown on Cariaso and he gets the open guard, Cariaso looks to stand up as Cejudo cracks him with a knee strike. Cariaso quickly goes back to kicking Cejudo in the midsection, Cejudo holds Cariaso against the cage wall as the two exchange knee strikes. Cejudo rocks Cariaso with a left before landing a follow up combination, Cejudo scores another takedown and he gets the half guard on Cariaso. Cariaso again finds a way to stand up as Cejudo nails him with another knee strike, the fighters grapple along the cage wall while exchanging knee strikes. Cariaso catches Cejudo with another kick to the body as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Cejudo missing a superman punch attempt on Cariaso, Cejudo then rocks a swinging Cariaso with a counter right. Cejudo scores a takedown on Cariaso and he gets leg control, Cejudo is quick to gain the half guard on Cariaso. Cariaso scrambles to his feet after a failed submission attempt from Cejudo, the fighters grapple and battle for position along the cage wall. Cejudo breaks free before catching Cariaso with a kick to the rib cage, Cejudo gains another takedown on Cariaso and he gets the half guard. Cariaso is quick to reposition Cejudo in the full guard, Cejudo returns to the half guard while landing blows on Cariaso. Cejudo stands up and he allows Cariaso to stand as well, Cejudo then hits Cariaso with a kick to the midsection as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with the fighters having a striking exchange, Cejudo then pops Cariaso with a left hook. Cejudo scores a takedown on Cariaso and he gets the half guard while landing some strikes, Cejudo starts attacking Cariaso with a few elbow strikes. Cariaso eats more strikes from Cejudo as he forces him into his full guard, Cejudo eventually stands up and he allows Cariaso to do so as well. Cejudo backs Cariaso into the cage wall after catching him with a few kicks to the midsection, Cejudo scores another takedown on Cariaso and he gets the half guard. Cejudo nearly catches Cariaso in a modified neck crank submission, Cariaso attempts a few up kicks as the round ends.

Fight #9 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Roy Nelson (21-10-0 vs. Alistair Overeem (38-14-0-1NC)

Round One

The round begins with Overeem attacking Nelson with some oblique kicks, Overeem then cracks Nelson with a flying knee strike to the midsection. Overeem also starts attacking Nelson with some leg kicks, Nelson charges forward on Overeem while landing a left. Overeem responds by cracking Nelson with a trio of flying knee strikes, Nelson backs Overeem into the cage wall to pummel him with strikes. Overeem responds by dropping Nelson momentarily with leg kicks, Nelson charges forward and Overeem cracks him with another knee strike. Overeem then levels Nelson with a kick to the midsection, Overeem catches Nelson with another knee as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Overeem quickly attacking Nelson with leg kicks, Overeem then hits a charging Nelson with a straight right. Overeem came forward and Nelson rocks him with a short right, Overeem recovers by kicking Nelson in the rib cage. Overeem continues attacking Nelson with a variety of kicks, Overeem catches Nelson with a left before looking for the takedown. Overeem continues nailing Nelson with strikes to his midsection, Nelson backs Overeem into the cage wall before landing a bunch of rights. Overeem then cracks Nelson with a flying knee strike to the face, Nelson pops Overeem with a few rights as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Overeem instantly attacking Nelson with kicks to the rib cage, Overeem tries attacking Nelson with a flying knee strike that misses. Overeem accidentally hit Nelson low and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with Overeem nailing Nelson with a right. Nelson rocks a leaping Overeem with a left to the jaw, Nelson looks for the takedown and Overeem stuffs it. Overeem then rocks Nelson with a head kick that barely connects, Overeem follows that up by kicking Nelson in the midsection. Overeem backs up Nelson again after landing a flying knee strike to the rib cage, Nelson drops Overeem with a left hook. Overeem pops right up and Nelson holds him against the cage wall as the round ends.

Fight #10 - UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Matt Brown (21-12-0) vs. Johny Hendricks (16-3-0)

Round One

The round begins with Hendricks attacking Brown with a pair of lefts, Hendricks scores a takedown on Brown and he gets the full guard. Brown quickly scrambles to his feet to get the fight standing, Hendricks looks for another takedown and Brown hits him with a knee strike. Hendricks eventually gains the takedown on Brown and he gets the full guard, Hendricks starts hitting Brown with some ground and pound. Brown uses a heel hook attempt to get the fight standing again, Brown then cracks Hendricks with a knee strike and multiple elbow strikes. Hendricks scores a takedown on Brown and he gets the full guard, Hendricks quickly gains the half guard on Brown as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Brown quickly nailing Hendricks with a left hook, Brown then starts catching Hendricks with kicks to the midsection. Hendricks cracks Brown with a few lefts before scoring a takedown and gaining side control, Brown eventually catches Hendricks in his half guard as he eats more strikes. Brown eats more strikes as he catches Hendricks in his full guard, the referee decides to stand up the fighters after some inactivity. Hendricks then cracks a swinging Brown with a counter left, Hendricks scores another takedown on Brown and he gets the half guard. Brown finds a way to stand up as Hendricks hits him with a knee strike, Hendricks scores another takedown on Brown after a striking exchange as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Hendricks slipping on a kick attempt and Brown catching him with a knee strike, Hendricks scores a takedown on Brown and they are a tangled mess. Brown eventually escapes after a reverse triangle choke attempt, Hendricks scores another takedown on Brown and he gets the half guard. Hendricks transitions to side control on a tired Brown, Hendricks starts attacking Brown with some ground and pound. Brown nearly scrambles to his feet before Hendricks drags him back to the ground, Brown tries attacks Hendricks with strikes while on his back. Brown looks for submissions while on his back as the round ends.

Fight #11 - UFC Women’s Strawweight Title Fight

Carla Esparza (11-2-0) (Champion) vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk (8-0-0)

Round One

The round begins with Esparza looking for a takedown and Jedrzejczyk makes her pay by landing some strikes, Esparza scores a takedown on Jedrzejczyk and Jedrzejczyk scrambles to her feet. Esparza separates from Jedrzejczyk after landing a right, Esparza scores another takedown and Jedrzejczyk pops right back up again. Jedrzejczyk rocks Esparza with a right during a failed takedown attempt, Esparza is relentless in her takedown attempts on Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk keeps Esparza at bay by popping her with rights, Esparza looks for another takedown after eating a pair of rights. Jedrzejczyk cracks Esparza with a knee strike on a takedown attempt, Jedrzejczyk rocks Esparza with strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Jedrzejczyk popping Esparza with a multiple punch combination, Esparza goes right back to takedown attempts. Jedrzejczyk then cracks Esparza with a standing elbow strike, Jedrzejczyk catches Esparza with a multi-strike combo after blocking a takedown. Jedrzejczyk keeps Esparza at bay by throwing plenty of jabs, Jedrzejczyk rocks Esparza with a pair of rights to the face. Jedrzejczyk follows Esparza around the octagon while pummeling her with strikes, Jedrzejczyk starts catching Esparza with some lefts as well. Jedrzejczyk pummels Esparza with a plethora of strikes and the referee jumps in.

Main Event - UFC Lightweight Title Fight

Anthony Pettis (18-2-0) (Champion) vs. Rafael Dos Anjos (23-7-0)

The round begins with Pettis quickly attacking Dos Anjos with a head kick attempt, Dos Anjos attacks Pettis with a bunch of kicks to the midsection. Dos Anjos then pops a swinging Pettis with a counter left, Dos Anjos forces Pettis against the cage wall after landing a left to the rib cage. Pettis slows Dos Anjos down a little by landing a few leg kicks, Dos Anjos continues catching Pettis with kicks to the midsection. Pettis responds by nailing Dos Anjos with a kick of his own, Dos Anjos continuously attacks Pettis with kicks all over his body. Pettis recovers by popping Dos Anjos with a two punch combination, Dos Anjos scores a takedown on Pettis and he gets the open guard. Dos Anjos attacks Pettis with ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Dos Anjos immediately nailing Pettis with leg kicks, Pettis tries keeping Dos Anjos at bay by throwing jabs. Dos Anjos grabs a hold of Pettis and he holds him up against the cage wall, Pettis also catches Dos Anjos with a few kicks to the rib cage. Dos Anjos responds by kicking Pettis in the midsection once again, Dos Anjos scores a takedown on Pettis and he gets the full guard. Dos Anjos starts attacking Pettis with some ground and pound, Dos Anjos attacks Pettis with some elbow strikes as well. Dos Anjos pressures Pettis with more strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with the fighters immediately exchanging a plethora of kicks, Dos Anjos backs up Pettis after cracking him with a left. Pettis accidentally pokes Dos Anjos in the eye and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with Pettis catching Dos Anjos with a head kick. Dos Anjos responds by attacking Pettis with a few kicks as well, Dos Anjos catches Pettis with a left before scoring a takedown. Pettis wall walks to his feet after a scramble with Dos Anjos, Dos Anjos holds Pettis against the cage wall while attacking his thighs with knee strikes. Dos Anjos comes forward on Pettis while landing a few strikes before scoring another takedown, Pettis wall walks to his feet and Dos Anjos drags him right back to the ground. Dos Anjos transitions to back control on Pettis as the round ends.

Round Four

The round begins with Pettis keeping Dos Anjos at a distance by throwing some jabs, Dos Anjos responds by landing some leg kicks. Dos Anjos rocks Pettis after catching him with a two punch combination, Pettis recovers by nailing Dos Anjos with kicks to the midsection. Dos Anjos scores a takedown on Pettis and he gets the half guard, Dos Anjos transitions to side control on Pettis. Dos Anjos goes for the kimura and Pettis escapes after a long struggle, Dos Anjos transitions to back control on Pettis after a brief scramble. Pettis scrambles at the right time to get the fight standing, Pettis tries holding Dos Anjos against the cage wall while landing a few strikes. Dos Anjos attacks Pettis with knee strikes as they battle along the cage wall, Dos Anjos gets another takedown on Pettis as the round ends.

Round Five

The round begins with Pettis badly missing a flying knee strike attempt, Dos Anjos immediately starts nailing Pettis with a variety of kicks. Pettis catches Dos Anjos with a kick to the midsection before they grapple on the cage wall, Dos Anjos attacks Pettis with some leg kicks. Dos Anjos scores a takedown on Pettis and he gets side control, Pettis scrambles to his feet with Dos Anjos holding onto him. Dos Anjos quickly starts attacking Pettis with kicks to the midsection, Dos Anjos scores another takedown on Pettis and he gets the open guard. Dos Anjos regains back control on Pettis after escaping some submission attempts from Pettis, Dos Anjos controls Pettis on the ground as the round ends.
