LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 41 PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS

By David Tees on 4/3/2015 3:37 PM

This coming Easter weekend is a holiday to be celebrated and MMA fans will have a lot to celebrate this weekend as well. The weekend will start with Legacy Fighting Championships 41, which features UFC veteran Daniel Pineda facing Jonny Carson in the main event. Also, ten other top MMA prospects will be looking to make an impact inside of the cage this coming Friday Night.

Main Event

Legacy FC Lightweight Division Fight

Jonny “The King Of Late Night” Carson (11-6-0) vs. Daniel “The Pit” Pineda (20-11-0)

Carson will be making his Legacy FC debut in this fight and he will be returning to action after a two year layoff. Pineda has been undefeated since his UFC release, which includes a win over fellow UFC veteran Leonard Garcia at Legacy FC 37. Carson is a longtime veteran of the Xtreme Fight Night promotion, where he won seven of ten fights in the promotion. Pineda is actually a late replacement in this fight as he stepped in on late notice for injured UFC veteran Anthony Njokuani. Even if he was not a late replacement, Pineda would easily crush Carson as Pineda submits him in the first.

Co-Main Event

Legacy FC Bantamweight Division Fight

Justin “Darth” Rader (3-0-0) vs. Ricardo “Carcacinha” Lucas Ramos (6-0-0)

Rader made his Legacy FC debut in September 2014, defeating Hector Arteaga by submission at Legacy FC 35. Ramos will be making his Legacy FC debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Talent MMA Circuit promotion. Rader is a veteran of the Battlegrounds MMA promotion and he has yet to see any of his fights go past the second round. Ramos is a fighter known for finishing fights, with four of his six fights ending in their opening rounds. The majority of this fight should be contested on the ground, which is where Ramos will grind out a close decision.

Legacy FC Featherweight Division Fight

Zac Church (5-2-0) vs. James “Whitey” Warren (6-1-0)

Church will be returning to Legacy FC after a year’s absence, last competing at Legacy FC 29, earning a victory over Brandon McDougal. Warren is currently undefeated in Legacy FC competition and he is the current Xtreme Fight Night Featherweight Champion. Warren has already earned gold on the regional circuit, Warren uses his better overall MMA game to get the decision.

Legacy FC Women’s Strawweight Division Fight

Kathina “Kill Switch” Catron (6-5-0) vs. Amber “The Apex Predator” Stautzenberger (5-4-0)

Catron will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak and she has competed against UFC veteran Rose Namajunas. Stautzenberger has only won just one of her last four fights and she has previously challenged for the Sugar Creek Showdown Women’s Strawweight Title. Neither woman is known for her striking prowess, but it will be Catron grinding out a decision victory here.

Legacy FC Featherweight Division Fight

Daniel Hauenstein (4-5-0) vs. Rodney Allison (6-2-0)

Hauenstein will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and he has not achieved a victory in just about four years. Allison will also enter the fight on a two fight losing streak and he is the current Extreme Fighting Inc. Featherweight Champion. Hauenstein is badly outmatched in this fight and it will be Allison submitting his opponent in the first round.

Legacy FC Bantamweight Division Fight

Hector “The Supernatural” Arteaga (2-1-0) vs. Chavous Smith (7-4-0)

Arteaga is currently winless under the Legacy FC banner and none of his professional MMA fights have gone past the opening round. Smith will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak and he is a veteran of the Xtreme Fight Night promotion. Smith is a monster when the fight hits the ground and he will be submitting Arteaga in the second round.
