UFC Featherweight Division Fight

Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas (15-3-0) vs. Chad “Money” Mendes (16-2-0)

Lamas has been undefeated since losing a title bout to current featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 169. Mendes will be competing for the first time since losing his second title fight to current featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 179. Lamas has won two fights since that ill-fated title loss, most notably defeating Dennis Bermudez at UFC 180. Mendes has only suffered two defeats throughout his professional MMA career, with both of those losses coming to featherweight champion Jose Aldo. Mendes and Lamas has very good ground games, but it will be Mendes’s superior striking game that helps him secure a decision.

Co-Main Event

UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Al Iaquinta (11-3-1) vs. Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal (28-8-0)

Iaquinta has won six of his last seven fights under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Joe Lauzon by TKO at UFC 183. Masvial has won five of six fights throughout his UFC run and he enters this fight on a three fight winning streak. Prior to coming to the UFC in 2012, Iaquinta has competed exclusively in the New Jersey-based Ring Of Combat promotion. Masvidal competed in Strikeforce before coming to the UFC, where he unsuccessfully challenged for the Strikeforce Lightweight Title. These two fighters are exceptional boxers inside the octagon, but it will be Iaquinta getting the better of the striking on route to a decision win.

UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Michael “Maverick” Chiesa (11-2-0) vs. Mitch “Danger Zone” Clarke (11-2-0)

Chiesa has won two of his last three fights under the UFC banner and he was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15. Clarke will enter the bout riding a two fight winning streak, but he is returning to competition after a year layoff. Clarke is a dangerous competitors even after the layoff, but Chiesa has a far superior ground game and he will submit Clarke in the first.

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Division Fight

Milana Dudieva (11-3-0) vs. Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Pena (5-2-0)

Dudieva is currently undefeated in UFC competition, most notably defeating Elizabeth Phillips at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le. Pena was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, but she is returning after a near-two year layoff due to a knee injury. Pena may one day return to the form of old, but she cannot get back to that form that quickly after that serious of a knee injury and it will be Dudieva getting a decision.

UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Clay “The Carpenter” Guida (31-15-0) vs. Robbie “Problems” Peralta (18-5-0-1NC)

Guida has only won just two of his last five fights and he will be returning to action after being away for nearly a full year. Peralta has won two of his last three bouts under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Rony Jason at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil III Finale. Guida has one of the most unrelenting wrestling games in the UFC and his unlimited gas tank helps him secure a decision.

UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Carlos Diego Ferreira (11-1-0) vs. Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier (16-4-0)

Ferreira will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Beneil Dariush at UFC 179. Poirier will be making his UFC Lightweight Division debut in this fight after going 8-3-0 as a featherweight in the UFC. Ferreira is no slouch in the octagon, but Poirier is dangerous wherever the fighter goes and he submits Ferreira in the second.
