UFC CHANGES PAY SYSTEM FOR REEBOK SPONSORSHIP

By David Tees on 4/20/2015 6:55 PM

The UFC has changed the way it will be paying the fighters under their new deal with Reebok, although the date this will take effect is yet to be known. The new system will see the promotion pay the fighters based on total fights within the promotion, but the participants in title fights will be paid in a different manner. The tiers for the fighters pay will be 1-5 fights, 6-10 fights, 11-15 fights and 16-20 fights (which includes PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC fights). UFC veteran Joe Lauzon has stated in past interviews that the UFC will announce the official payouts in May, but nothing is set in stone.
