Palhares will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Jon Fitch at the WSOF 16. Shields has been undefeated thus far under the WSOF banner, last defeating Brian Foster at the WSOF 17. World Series Of Fighting 22 takes place on August 1st from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
