Following the injury to Khabib Nurmagomedov, John Makdessi has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC 187. Makdessi has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Daron Cruickshank at UFC 158. Cerrone enters the fight riding a seven fight winning streak, last defeating Ben Henderson at UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver. UFC 187 takes place on May 23rd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headlining.
