By David Tees on 5/14/2015 7:54 PM

This coming weekend for MMA fans will feature a trio of big events and kicking everything off is Bellator 137. The event will be headlined by a middleweight title fight as champion Brandon Halsey defends against Kendall Grove. Also, Eduardo Dantas faces Mike Richman and several other top MMA prospects will step inside the cage.

Main Card

Main Event

Bellator MMA Middleweight Title Fight

Brandon “Bull” Halsey (8-0-0) (Champion) vs. Kendall “Da Spyder” Grove (21-14-0-1NC)

Halsey will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Alexander Shlemenko at Bellator 126. Grove is a UFC veteran who has won two of three in Bellator MMA, including a win over former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Christian M’Pumbu. Halsey has already defeated a pair of UFC veterans in the duo of Hector Ramirez and Shonie Carter. Grove has been out of the UFC for just over four years now and he was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter III. Grove may have a tremendous reach advantage, but Halsey is an amazing wrestler and he pounds out Grove in the first to keep the belt.

Co-Main Event

Bellator MMA Bantamweight Division Fight

Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas (16-4-0) vs. Mike “The Marine” Richman (18-5-0)

Dantas will be competing for the first time since losing the Bellator MMA Bantamweight Title to Joe Warren at Bellator 128. Richman has been undefeated since dropping to bantamweight, most notably defeating UFC veteran Nam Phan at Bellator 131. Dantas has achieved victories over three UFC veterans in Marcos Galvao, Wilson Reis and Zach Makovsky. Richman fought four times in 2014, having won two of those four fights, both wins came at bantamweight. This is the real main event of the card, Dantas will catch a wildly swinging Richman to finish him in the third.

Bellator MMA Welterweight Division Fight

Fernando “The Menifee Maniac” Gonzalez (23-13-0) vs. “Curtious” Curtis Millender (7-1-0)

Gonzalez is currently undefeated in Bellator MMA, most notably defeating Karo Parisyan at Bellator 127. Millender is currently winless under the Bellator MMA banner, having dropped a fight to Brennan Ward at Bellator 134. Gonzalez is a far superior fighter than his record suggests, Gonzalez grinds out a decision to win his fourth straight.

Bellator MMA Featherweight Division Fight

Darrion “The Wolf” Caldwell (6-0-0) vs. Rafael “Morcego” Silva (22-4-0)

Caldwell has already won three bouts under the Bellator MMA banner, with two of those bouts ending in the opening round. Silva has won three of four in Bellator MMA, last defeating UFC veteran Rob Emerson at Bellator 127. Silva has the better skill set for MMA when compared to Caldwell, Silva out strikes Caldwell for a second round finish.
