VISA ISSUES CAUSES CHANGES TO UPCOMING UFC EVENTS

By David Tees on 6/19/2015 1:57 PM

Due to the United States visa system having technical difficulties in recent weeks, the UFC has been forced to make changes to upcoming cards. The UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil IV Finals (Bantamweight/Lightweight Divisions) have been moved from UFC Fight Night 70 to UFC 190. A welterweight bout between Erick Silva and Rick Story has been pulled from UFC Fight Night 70, a new location/event for the bout has yet to be named.

Although not yet official, a light heavyweight contest between Nikita Krylov and Marcos Rogerio De Lima at UFC Fight Night 70 may be cancelled as well. With those bouts being pulled, two new bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night 70 as Alex Oliveira faces Joe Merritt and Leandro Silva faces Lewis Gonzalez. UFC Fight Night 70 takes place on June 27th from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida with Lyoto Machida and Yoel Romero headlining. UFC 190 takes place on August 1st from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia headlining.
