UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo has suffered a rib injury and his highly anticipated title defense against Conor McGregor may be off. Aldo has not officially been pulled from the card as of this writing, but UFC officials are seeking potential replacements for Aldo or simply pushing the fight back to a future card. Assuming Aldo is out and an interim title situation takes place, McGregor could possibly face Frankie Edgar, Chad Mendes, Ricardo Lamas and Max Holloway, as all four of those fighters are ranked in the division’s top five. UFC 189 takes place on July 11th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor headlining.
