Following the injury to John Hathaway, Brandon Thatch has been moved from a bout on the UFC 189 preliminary card against John Howard to facing Gunnar Nelson on the pay-per-view card. Cathal Pendred has agreed to step up on short notice to now fight John Howard on the UFC 189 preliminary card. UFC 189 takes place on July 11th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor headlining.
