UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo has suffered a rib injury and he is off of UFC 189, Conor McGregor will now face Chad Mendes for the UFC Interim Featherweight Title. McGregor is currently undefeated in UFC competition, most notably defeating Dustin Poirier at UFC 178. Mendes has won eight of ten during his UFC tenure, with those two lone defeats coming to UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo. UFC 189 takes place on July 11th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
