Gilbert Melendez has failed a post-fight drug test for UFC 188 and he has been pulled from a bout against Al Iaquinta at UFC Fight Night 71. Melendez was popped for testosterone metabolites that were present from an outside source, the tests were conducted by the UFC because the event was held in Mexico, which currently does not house an athletic commission for MMA. UFC officials are seeking a replacement for Melendez, but nothing has been announced as of this writing. UFC Fight Night 71 takes place on July 15th from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California with Frank Mir and Todd Duffee headlining.
