Augusto Montano, who suffered a decision defeat to Cathal Pendred at UFC 188, was suspended one year by the UFC after failing a post-fight drug test. Montano was flagged by the promotion for exogenous origins of testosterone metabolites, there is no MMA athletic commission in Mexico and so the UFC reprimanded the fighter. Montano will be available to fight again exactly one year following UFC 188, which took place on June 13th of this year.
