YOUNG BUCKS HEADLINE VIP WRESTLING IN ARLINGTON, TX

VIP Wrestling Presents "Bang For Your Buck" - Arlington, TX

This show was at The Admiral Hotel in Arlington. It's a really good set up, the ring is in an odd spot, but it's really the only place they can put it and they make it work. It just cuts out some of the options for the top rope. That's really the only "complaint" I can come up with. Everything was run well, the crowd was fantastic, and if you're in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, you really need to check this company out. DFW isn't exactly known for great indy shows or consistent companies putting on shows since PCW stopped running regularly. This was fantastic though.

- Lou Sterrett defeats Bolt Brady with top rope leg lariat. Good opener that went just past 10 minutes.

- Moonshine Mantell defeats Randy Wayne with a Gory Special Bomb. I've seen Moonshine before, really good look and personality. Hard hitting match that went about 12 minutes.

- Steele-Money Industries defeats Vet Club. Vet Club has been wrestling in the area for years, so good to see them again. They towered over Steele-Money, but after dominating the majority of the win, Steele-Money ended up stealing the win. They went to shake Vet Club's hands, but Vet Club spit on them and a new member came from behind and it was a 3 on 2 beatdown.

Davy Vega vs. Barrett Brown goes to a draw... twice. They had a double pin where both men's shoulders were on the mat. The promoter of the show granted them 5 more minutes and then they had another double pin. This was a tremendous match, one that came out of nowhere for me. One of those matches where they do spots they don't have to do, but they really wanted to make a mark. After the second draw, the promoter announces that at their next show on September 4th, Vega and Brown will compete in a #1 Contender's Match... but it will also involve AR Fox and due to contractual obligations, I can't say the 4th opponent in a Fatal 4 Way Match. The 4th opponent will be announced this weekend and I can say that he was the "Air" in Air Boom, the former WWE Tag Team Champions. So that should be TREMENDOUS.

Jerome Daniels defeats Charlie Haas by countout. Charlie does a tremendous job working a lot of spot shows in the North Texas area and working with young, up and coming talent, and this was no different. Charlie controlled the match and just when he was about to put away Daniels, Daniels' manager from The Trust Fund got involved and ended up paying off Haas to leave the match and stop beating on Daniels. So it looks like he's turned heel, where's he's more natural in that role.

Jessica Jaymes vs. Claudia goes to a no contest after Bree Ann shows up and destroys EVERYTHING. She has New Jack's old music and it plays the entire time as well. It was a fun throwback. Bree Ann ends up taking Claudia through the crowd and goes off a ledge of the ballroom and chokeslamming Claudia through the announce table. Insane/scary spot, and luckily Claudia was able to be carried off.

Main Event: The Young Bucks & ACH defeated Andy Dalton/Keith Lee/Ricky Starks. The reason everyone was here, and this did not disappoint. ACH was an honorary member of The Bullet Club for this one. Dalton is the VIP Wrestling champion and Starks is 1/2 of the tag team champions. Keith Lee is a massive man with good charisma and personality. This match went everywhere, including a spot where Raymond Rowe of War Machine showed up on the video board to call out Keith Lee, and then in the midst of everyone's confusion The Vet Club showed up to try and show The Young Bucks some respect and then Steele Money along with some others showed up and a HUGE brawl on the outside took place until Keith Lee dove over the top rope and took out everyone. Beyond impressive for a man his size. The match finally got back on track and a Superkick Party broke out, followed by a double modified Meltzer Driver as ACH and Matt Jackson both had guys up for a tombstone. It was AWESOME.

Again, great show, and really gotta give kudos to The Young Bucks for taking this booking when they have to be in New York the next day for their huge tag match against Alberto and Mysterio. They stayed til at least 11:30pm when I left, signed every autograph, took every picture, and sold a TON of merch. They were awesome guys to meet and got a huge "Please Come Back" chant at the end of the night.
