A plethora of fights have been added to UFC Fight Night 79 as Yoshihiro Akiyama faces Alberto Mina, Dong Hyun Kim faces Jorge Masvidal and Hyun Gyu Lim faces Elizeu Zaleski. Akiyama has won just one of his last five under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Amir Sadollah at UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson. Mina is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Shinsho Anzai at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le.
Kim has won five of his last six fights during his UFC tenure, most notably defeating John Hathaway at the UFC Ultimate Fighter China Finale. Masvidal has been undefeated since moving up to welterweight, having defeated Cezar Ferreira at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale.
Lim has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Takenori Sato at UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson. Zaleski is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Alves. UFC Fight Night 79 takes place on November 28th from the Olympics Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea with Ben Henderson and Thiago Alves headlining.
