The UFC has cut featherweight competitor Niklas Backstrom from the roster, his current MMA record is 8-2-0-1NC. Backstrom won just one of three fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Tom Niinimaki at UFC Fight Night: Story vs. Nelson. Backstrom was cut from the promotion after consecutive losses to both Mike Wilkinson and Noad Lahat.
