Longtime UFC veteran Alan Belcher has announced his retirement from the sport, he retires with a record of 18-8-0. Belcher has not actually competed in just over two years, as he has been dealing with eye issues and other assorted injuries. During his elevn year MMA career, Belcher competed against top names like Marvin Eastman, Yushin Okami, Jorge Santiago, Kendall Grove, Ed Herman, Denis Kang, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Patrick Cote, Rousimar Palhares and Michael Bisping. Belcher’s last bout as a pro came at UFC 159 in April 2013, where he suffered a decision loss to Michael Bisping.
