Current One Championships Welterweight Champion Ben Askren was pulled from the main event of the show after opponent Luis Santos not only missed weight for their bout (by two pounds), but then refused a second weigh in the morning before the show to ensure he would not weigh over 190 pounds before the fight. One Championships president Victor Cui has stated he would like another attempt to make the fight, but Santos may wind up getting cut for his weight issues. Askren and Santos met once before in One FC for the welterweight title, but the bout was declared a no contest after Askren accidentally poked Santos in the eye and he was unable to continue.
