UFC veteran and longtime veteran of the European MMA scene, Cathal Pendred, has announced his retirement from the sport and he retires with a record of 17-4-1. Pendred’s biggest success as a fighter came outside of the UFC, but in Cage Warriors, where he held the promotions welterweight title. During his six year MMA career, Pendred fought top names like Nicholas Musoke, Che Mills, Sean Spencer, John Howard and Tom Breese. Pendred’s last bout as a pro came at UFC Fight Night: Holohan vs. Smolka in October 2015, where he suffered a TKO loss to Tom Breese.
