UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum has been pulled from UFC 196 after suffering both back and hand injuries, he was set to defend the championship against Stipe Miocic. It is unknown at this time if Miocic will remain on the card, he was a replacement for the injured Cain Velasquez. If no replacement is found, a welterweight bout between Johny Hendricks and Stephen Thompson will be the headlining bout. UFC 196 takes place on February 6th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no headliner announced as of yet.
