By David Tees on 1/27/2016 5:59 PM

For the second straight week, the One Championship promotion is putting on a card that should be checked out by all MMA fans. The event will be headlined by a lightweight division bout as Ev Ting stands across the cage from Eric Kelly. Also, eighteen other top MMA prospects will enter the cage to try and make an impact in the promotion.

Main Event

One Championships Lightweight Division Fight

Ev “E.T.”Ting (10-3-0) vs. Eric “The Natural” Kelly (12-1-0)

Ting has won fur of five fights under the One Championships banner, last defeating Honorio Banario at One Championships 32. Kelly is currently undefeated in his third One Championships run, most notably defeating Rob Lisita at One FC 18. None of Ting’s five fights in One Championships have gone to a decision and his last bout that went to a decision happened over two years ago. Kelly scored a huge upset in his inaugural One Championships run, defeating UFC veteran Jens Pulver at One FC V. Ting is better at mixing it up wherever the fight goes, but Kelly is a wizard on the ground and he will eventually ground Ting on route to a third round submission win.

Co-Main Event

One Championships Lightweight Division Fight

Eduard “Landslide”Folayang (14-5-0) vs. Tetsuya Yamada (15-3-2)

Folayang has won two of his last three under the One Championships banner, most notably defeating Kotetsu Boku at One FC 15. Yamada will be making his One Championships debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the ZST MMA promotion. Folayang will also be returning to action after a year-plus absence, with his last bout coming in December 2014. Yamada will enter the fight riding a seven fight winning streak and this will be his first fight outside of the ZST MMA promotion in nearly two years. Folayang is a fighter known for taking fights the distance, but Yamada is a good striker and he finishes Folayang in the second.

One Championships Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Jake Butler (6-1-0) vs. Tatsuya Mizuno (14-10-1)

Butler has spent his entire professional MMA career in the One Championships promotion and he enters the fight on a three fight winning streak. Mizuno has won two of four fights under the One Championships banner and he has not put a winning streak together in just over four years. Butler has got a developing striking game and he uses that to keep Mizuno at bay to earn a decision win.

One Championships Flyweight Division Fight

Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio (6-4-0) vs. Saiful “The Vampire” Merican (4-2-0)

Eustaquio will enter the fight on a two fight losing streak and he has not earned a victory in nearly two years. Merican has won three of his last four under the One Championships banner, last defeating Melvin Yeoh at One Championships 32. These two fighters will want to take the bout to the ground, but Eustaquio is a stronger fighter on the ground and he will notch a decision win here.

One Championships Featherweight Division Fight

Sami Amin (5-2-1) vs. Samir Mrabet (3-0-0)

Amin is currently winless under the One Championships banner, dropping a fight to Fransino Tirta at One FC 17. Mrabet will be returning to action after a two-plus year absence, but his last bout was a win over Steven Durr at One FC 12. Amin has a great striking game and Mrabet has been out of action for awhile, Amin finishes him with strikes in the first round.

One Championships Lightweight Division Fight

Rayner “King Karabaw” Kinsiong (2-1-0) vs. Keanu Subba (2-1-0)

Kinsiong will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Eliot Corley at One FC 18. Subba is currently undefeated in One Championships competition, having defeated Florian Garel at One Championships 32. Kinsiong willbe returning to action after a year-plus layoff, which will affect him as Subba gets a decision victory.

One Championships Featherweight Division Fight

Christian Lee (1-0-0) vs. Mahmoud Mohamed (3-2-1)

Lee made his professional MMA debut at One Championships 36 in December 2015, defeating David Meak by TKO. Mohamed will be making his One Championships debut in this fight and he has not earned a victory in just over a full year. Mohamed will want to ground the better striker in Lee, which he will do on route to a second round submission victory.

One Championships Middleweight Division Fight

James “The Falcon” Kouame (3-6-0) vs. Agilan “The Alligator” Thani (3-0-0)

Kouame has only won just one of his last six fights and he will be making his One Championships debut in this fight. Thani has already won two bouts under the One Championships banner and none of his bouts have gone past the opening round. Thani is a fighter known for finishing fights and he will submit Kouame in the opening round to keep his finishing streak alive.

One Championships Lightweight Division Fight

Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev (1-0-0) vs. Mishal Alfad (1-1-0)

Arslanaliev will be making his One Championships debut in this fight and he will be returning to action after a near two year absence. Alfad will be looking to build on the momentum of his first MMA victory, which came over Bayu Hartono at FOMMI Sabuk Championships. These are two good strikers that are still novices in the cage, but it will be Arslanaliev getting the first round TKO finish.

One Championships Women’s Atomweight Division Fight

Amira Badr (0-0-0) vs. Jenny Huang (2-0-0)

Badr will be making her professional MMA debut in this fight and she has no amateur experience to speak of. Huang made her One Championships debut in July 2015 at One Championships 29, defeating Elena Pashnina by decision. Badr is a wild card in this one because she has no amateur experience, but it will be Huang notching another decision win.
