A pair of championship bouts as Daniel Cormier defends the light heavyweight title against Jon Jones and Demetrious Johnson defends the flyweight belt against Henry Cejudo. Cormier will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192. Jones actually defeated Cormier in their first meeting at UFC 182, but he was forced to relinquish the light heavyweight title after legal issues arose in 2015.
Johnson will be making the eighth defense of his championship, last defending it against John Dodson at UFC 191. Cejudo is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, which includes four wins under the UFC banner. UFC 197 takes place on April 23rd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones headlining.
