By David Tees on 2/12/2016 7:02 AM

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and PRIDE veteran Kevin Randleman has passed away at the age of 44 after suffering heart failure. Randleman retired from MMA in 2011 with a record of 17-16-0, but fought some of the best in MMA history like Maurice Smith, Bas Rutten, Pedro Rizzo, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Renato Sobral, Quinton Jackson, Kazushi Sakuraba, Mirko Cro Cop, Fedor Emelianenko, Mauricio Rua and Roger Gracie. Randleman won the then vacant UFC Heavyweight Title when he defeated Pete Williams by decision at UFC 23 in November 1999. We here at PWInsiderXtra would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Kevin Randleman.
