For the third straight week, MMA fans around the world will be getting some MMA action from Bellator MMA. Also, Fernando Gonzalez faces Gilbert Smith and top featherweight prospects will be colliding in the cage.

Main Card

Main Event

Bellator MMA Bantamweight Division Fight

Darrion “The Wolf” Caldwell (8-0-0) vs. “The Baddest Man On The Planet” Joe Warren (13-4-0)

Caldwell has already won five bouts under the Bellator MMA banner, with notable wins coming over Rafael Silva and Shawn Bunch. Warren is a former two division champion in Bellator MMA, having held both the featherweight and bantamweight titles in the promotion. Caldwell has finished three of five fights in Bellator MMA and he will be returning to action after being away for nearly six months. Warren has won six of his last seven in Bellator MMA and despite holding two titles in the promotion, was only able to make one successful title defense between the two. Warren’s key to winning fights has always been his wrestling game, but Caldwell’s wrestling game is good as well, Caldwell gets a close decision win here.

Co-Main Event

Bellator MMA Welterweight Division Fight

Fernando “The Menifee Maniac” Gonzalez (24-13-0) vs. Gilbert “Midnight Magic” Smith (12-4-0)

Gonzalez is currently undefeated in Bellator MMA, most notably defeating former welterweight champion Karl Amoussou at Bellator 122. Smith will be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he is the current Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion. Gonzalez has also defeated a UFC veteran during his time in Bellator MMA, as he defeated Karo Parisyan at Bellator 127. Smith spent a little time competing in the UFC and he was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17. These rae two competitors who are going to look to use their wrestling game, but Smith mixes in submissions better than Gonzalez and he taps out Gonzalez in the third.

Bellator MMA Featherweight Division Fight

Bubba “The Highlight Kid” Jenkins (10-2-0) vs. Goiti Yamauchi (19-2-0)

Jenkins has won six of his last seven in Bellator MMA and that lone loss came to former World Series Of Fighting Featherweight Champion Georgi Karakhanyan. Yamauchi will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, which includes a win over Mike Richman. This is a wrestler versus a submission artist battle here, Jenkins will control the submission artists in Yamauchi on route to a decision win.

Bellator MMA Bantamweight Division Fight

Sirwan “Zohan” Kakai (12-3-0) vs. Joe “The Juggernaut” Taimanglo (21-6-1)

Kakai will be competing for the first time since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Frankie Saenz at UFC Fight Night: Teixeira vs. St. Preux. Taimanglo will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak and he did compete in the final Bellator MMA Featherweight Tournament. Taimanglo has a good ground game an dstriking game, but Kakai has a more controlled game and he catches the wildly swinging Taimanglo to finish him with strikes in the second.
