By David Tees on 3/3/2016 5:12 PM

Capping off a busy Friday Night full of MMA action will be a loaded Resurrection Fighting Alliance 36 card. The event will be headlined by a featherweight title bout as Raoni Barcelos will defend against Landon Vannata. Also, UFC veteran Chico Camus makes his RFA debut and plenty of other top MMA prospects will be stepping into the cage.

Main Event

RFA Featherweight Title Fight

Raoni Barcelos (9-1-0) (Champion) vs. Landon Vannata (7-0-0)

Barcelos will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Ricky Musgrave at RFA 29. Vannata is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, last defeating Cahd Curry at RFA 32. Barcelos has already won three bouts under the RFA banner, which includes a win over UFC veteran Tyler Toner. Vannata has also competed in the Pancrase promotion out of Japan and he has previously defeated Bellator MMA veteran JP Reese. Barcelos has a good striking game and he will use that to nullify the ground game of Vannata to earn a decision win and keep the title.

Co-Main Event

RFA Featherweight Division Fight

Melvin “The Career Killer” Blumer (12-3-0) vs. Shawn West (12-6-0-1NC)

Blumer has won just one of two under the RFA banner and that lone win did come over UFC veteran Jeff Curran. West will enter the fight riding a seven fight winning streak an dthis fight will mark his official RFA debut. Blumer has not seen one of his bouts go to a decision in just over three years, a streak that has lasted for a total of five fights. West is on quite a good streak as well right now as his last eight fights as a professional have all ended in the opening round. West has been finishing a lot of fighters lately with his striking game, but Blumer uses his wrestling game to grind out a decision win.

RFA Flyweight Division Fight

“King” Chico Camus (14-7-0-1NC) vs. Matt Brown (10-5-0)

Camus will be competing for the first time since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC Fight Night: Barnett vs. Nelson. Brown has won two of three fights under the RFA banner, but his last fight was a loss to Darrick Minner at RFA 30. Camus still has the skills to get the job done and he uses his ground game to get a decision over Brown.

RFA Welterweight Division Fight

Reese Hernandez (13-3-2-1NC) vs. Kassius “Kayne” Holdorf (7-1-0)

Hernandez will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he has not suffered a defeat in nearly five full years. Holdorf is currently undefeated under the RFA banner, having defeated Don Hamilton by submission at RFA 30. Holdorf has been submitting people with his striking game, he does that again against Hernandez in the opening round.

RFA Featherweight Division Fight

Dan “The Hitman” Moret (9-2-0) vs. Josh Wick (5-1-0)

Moret has won two of four fights under the RFA banner and he will be returning to the promotion in the first time in nearly a year. Wick will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he will be doing so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Wick has been on an incredible finishing streak right now and he finishes Moret with a first round submission.

RFA Welterweight Division Fight

Logan Storley (2-0-0) vs. Lemetra “5150” Griffin (1-4-0)

Storley has spent his entire professional MMA career thus far in the RFA promotion, last defeating Marc Hummel at RFA 32. Griffin will be returning to action after a two-plus year absence and he has not earned a win in nearly six years. Griffin is so over matched in the fight that it isn’t even funny, Storley finishes Griffin with strikes in the first.
