100 THINGS TO KEEP AN EYE ON FOR WWE WRESTLEMANIA 32 WEEK

By David Tees on 3/28/2016 1:32 PM

In just a matter of eight days’ time, the granddaddy of them all, WWE Wrestlemania 32 is coming to us live from Dallas, Texas. Much like last years’ column for WWE Wrestlemania 31, this column will take a look at the event as a whole, the week surrounding it, the days after it and just about everything that can fit in between. So, sit back, grab your favorite beverage or two, because here are 100 Things To Keep An Eye On For WWE Wrestlemania 32 Week.

(One quick note before we continue on here, I am labeling Wrestlemania Week at the time period from Monday March 28th to Tuesday April 5th.)

#1: WWE Wrestlemania 32 (4/3 - AT&T Stadium - Dallas, TX)

To be fair, everything that happens during the biggest week of the year for wrestling fans will all culminate with the granddaddy of them all, WWE Wrestlemania 32. This year’s event will be headlined by a WWE World Heavyweight Title bout as Triple H defends against Roman Reigns. Besides that main event, The Undertaker, Shane McMahon, The New Day, Kevin Owens, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and more are competing on wrestling's biggest stage. With a total of six hours dedicated to the pre-show and the pay-per-view as a whole, wrestling fans will be in for a lot this coming Sunday Night.

#2: PWInsiderElite.com Live Coverage ‘Mania 32 Week (3/28 - 4/3)

Now it is time to pimp out the folks at your favorite wrestling news site and mine as well, I do work for them after all, which is the insane amount of ‘Mania coverage you will be getting during ‘Mania Week. Whether it is Mike Johnson is Texas, or the crew of Dave Scherer, Richard Trionfo, Stu Carapola, Mike Epsenhart, yours truly or anybody else who contributes to the site, you know you are getting the most extensive ‘Mania coverage that you will ever get. Get ready for ‘Mania overload because every inch of the week, WWE related or not, is coming to you courtesy of the hardest working website in wrestling history, PWInsiderElite.com.

#3: Final WWE Raw Before ‘Mania 32 (3/28 - Barclays Center - Brooklyn, NY)

Usually it is the Raw after Wrestlemania that garners the most attention, but the Raw before Wrestlemania is a crucial one because it will be the final live show the WWE puts on before WWE Wrestlemania 32. There are still a lot of questions heading into ‘Mania that have yet to be answered, such as the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Participants, will we get a WWE Diva’s Tag Match, will the role of The Rock be revealed and many more questions. The Raw ratings have been in the dumps as of late heading into ‘Mania, so it will be interesting to see what kinds of stuff the WWE will pull out before the biggest show of the year.

#4: Shane McMahon Returns To Wrestlemania (4/3 - AT&T Stadium - Dallas, TX)

For the first time since he interfered in a match at WWE Wrestlemania 23 in 2007, Shane McMahon will be appearing at a Wrestlemania. Not only is he appearing at a Wrestlemania, but Shane will be facing The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell Match. Shane is fighting for the ownership of WWE Raw against his father, Vince McMahon, again his handpicked opponent, The Undertaker. Shane may not be in the WWE much longer after ‘Mania 32, his future in the company has yet to be revealed, but his first match in nearly a decade should be a spectacle to behold.

#5: Dragon Gate USA Is Officially Dead

For those who checked out my similar column written last year, I wrote a piece about how Dragon Gate USA was not a part of ‘Mania Week for the first time in years. However, I was wrong in a way before the Dragon Gate USA Open The Freedom Gate Title was merged with the Evolve Championship last year at the WWN Supershow. This year, this column is 100 percent accurate because the company is dead and buried, championships at all, as not even any of the Japanese promotions stars are appearing anywhere this week either. The umbrella, WWN will survive and thrive with two Evolve shows and a WWN Supershow happening this week.

#6: Final TNA Impact Before ‘Mania 32 (3/29 - Universal Studious - Orlando, FL)

TNA has a little, if any, active presence during ‘Mania week and this year is no different outside of a lone television program. However, since the show is a wrestling show and this week is about nothing other than getting all of the wrestling action one can get, so why not check out some fantastic wrestling action from Florida. This edition of TNA Impact will see Drew Galloway defend the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Matt Hardy, Gail Kim defend the TNA Knockouts Title against Jade & Madison Rayne and more will be happening as well.

#7: NXT Star & TNA Champion Are Evolve Tag Team Champions

The current and currently, only tag team champions in Evolve history are Drew Galloway and Johnny Gargano. What makes this pairing so interesting is that Drew Galloway is the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion and Johnny Gargano is a current star in WWE NXT. The duo is currently scheduled to be at both Evolve shows during ‘Mania weekend, defending the belts against Tracy Williams and Drew Gulak at Evolve 59 at April 2nd. It is just interesting to think that the current TNA World Champion and a current WWE NXT star are teaming together in a promotion that is in a partnership with the WWE.

#8: The 3rd Annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal (4/3 - AT&T Stadium - Dallas, TX)

The first edition of the battle royal was won by Cesaro and the second edition of the battle royal was won by the Big Show, who will win the third incarnation of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal? As of this writing (3/20), the only competitors announced for the match are all four members of the Social Outcasts. If you take it upon yourself to look at the rest of the WWE roster not involved in a match at ‘Mania 32, you can pretty much come up with a list of who will be in this battle royal. In an interesting note for this year’s edition of the match, it will air again as part of the pre-show, but also live on the USA Network as well.

#9: NWA Parade Of Champions 2016 (3/31 - Ridglea Theater - Fort Worth, TX)

The first actual live wrestling event in Texas during ‘Mania 32 Week will not be from the WWE, but from the National Wrestling Alliance as they present the NWA Parade Of Champions 2016. The event will see four championship matches as Jax Dane defends the NWA World Heavyweight Title, The Iron Empire defends the NWA World Tag Team Titles, Amber O’Neal defends the NWA Women’s World Championship and Tim Storm will defend the NWA North American Title. When you also factor in that Jim Cornette, Charlie Haas, Rodney Mack, Lance Hoyt and Black Bart are appearing, this is a must watch show.

#10: ‘Mania 32 vs. Walking Dead Finale (4/3)

The WWE has put up events before opposite football games and other big events, but this coming Sunday, WWE Wrestlemania 32 will go head to head with the season finale of The Walking Dead. WWE Wrestlemania 32 has a loaded card, but it will be going up against the finale of one of the most watched TV shows of our time. Also, the Walking Dead has some interesting things going for it, such as the series debut of Negan and which main character will be suffering an untimely demise. It will again, be interesting to see, how many people will avoid the WWE for The Walking Dead and vice versa.

#11: NJPW Show During ‘Mania Week (4/1 Road To Invasion Attack)

Just because the majority of the wrestling world will be focusing on what happens in Texas during Wrestlemania Week does not mean other great wrestling related stuff is not happening that week as well. NJPW Road To Invasion Attack will be taking place at Korakuen hall in Tokyo, Japan with some interesting match ups. The most notable match on the April 1st event will see Chaos versus Los Ingobernables and an Elimination match between Team NJPW and the Bullet Club.

#12: The Jim Cornette Experience (3/31 - Ridglea Theater - Fort Worth, TX)

Unless you are very new to the world of professional wrestling, then you have no doubt heard of the legendary Jim Cornette. Jim Cornette, a few years back, started a podcast to not only discuss the amazing world of pro wrestling, but he also talks to the past and present stars of the business as well. Jim Cornette now brings the greatness of The Jim Cornette Experience to Fort Worth, Texas during ‘Mania Week and who knows what to expect from the show from beginning to end.

#13: The Biggest Wrestlemania Crowd Ever?

Currently, the record holder for the biggest Wrestlemania crowd ever goes to WWE Wrestlemania III, which had a total of 93,173 fans in attendance. This year for WWE Wrestlemania 32, the event is taking place in one of the largest stadiums in the entire world right now, AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The current record for the largest attendance in the stadiums history is 108,713, that came at the 2010 NBA All-Star Game. Depending on the combination of ticket sales and the staging set up for the show, the WWE does have a good chance of breaking both the WWE Wrestlemania III attendance record and even the AT&T Stadium attendance record as well.

#14: Final WWE NXT Before ‘Mania 32 (3/30 - Full Sail University - Winter Park, FL)

With WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas taking place just two days later (which we will be looking at later), this year’s final WWE NXT before WWE Wrestlemania 32 is actually an important event. We already have four matches set for the event, so it will be interesting to see what gets announced for the Takeover special just a mere few days before that big event. The show, which airs on the WWE Network, will see Asuka, Emma, Austin Aries, American Alpha and more in action.

#15: Matthew Riddle, From UFC Star To Evolve Contender

Matthew Riddle, prior to becoming a standout star in Evolve, was a solid professional MMA fighter who primarily competed in the UFC. Riddle entered the world of professional wrestling after several failed drug tests for marijuana cost him a UFC job, which then lead to his self-imposed retirement from MMA. Following his exit from the MMA world, Riddle decided to go the pro wrestling route and the results have been amazing thus far. This coming weekend, Riddle will again challenge Evolve Champion Timothy Thatcher for the gold after a controversial first bout between the two in New York.

#16: 2016 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony (4/2 - American Airlines Center - Dallas, TX)

The 2016 WWE Hall Of Fame Class is one of the best classes in WWE history and with very good reason. The WWE Hall Of Fame Class for 2016 will feature Sting, The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts), The Big Bossman, The Godfather, Jacqueline and Stan Hansen. Unfortunately, The Big Bossman and Terry Gordy have both passed away, but the fact that they will still be honored is a great thing for these two legends of the business. Every year, the WWE Hall Of Fame broadcast on the WWE Network and later on the USA Network always provides amazing moments and speeches, this year will be no different.

#17: The Playboy Connection

There is a whole generation of wrestling fans out there who do not know that at one point, the WWE had a relationship with Playboy Magazine that saw a WWE Diva pose nude for the magazine prior to the big event. Although that relationship no longer exists anymore, several of those former WWE Divas who have posed for Playboy will be at different wrestling events throughout the week. Ashley Massaro, Chyna and Torrie Wilson will all be appearing at different times for Wrestlecon, while Candice Michelle will be appearing at WWE Axxess.

#18: PWInsiderElite ‘Mania Archive Audios

If you are somebody like myself who enjoys remembering the highs and the lows of past Wrestlemania events, plus you just want to have some good laughs, then the PWInsiderElite ‘Mania Archive Audios are ready for you. Every year, like clockwork, the great folks at PWinsiderElite.com posts all the past ‘Mania audios so we can all relive thirty-one years of ‘Mania glory. You get to hear from such great wrestling minds as Mike Johnson, Dave Scherer, Jess McGrath, Buck Woodward, Mike Epsenhart, Stu Carapola, Richard Trionfo and others. So, if you are new to the wrestling world or just want to relive ‘Mania history, the audios are up and ready for you to listen to.

#19: Final WWE Main Event Before ‘Mania 32 (3/30 - Barclays Center - Brooklyn, NY)

While the final WWE Raw before ‘Mania 32 is considered the go home show for the biggest wrestling event of the year, WWE Main Event is still a show to watch. The last few years, the WWE Main Event before ‘Mania is usually a show filled with highlight reels and little matches, if at all. However, much like what I mentioned earlier with some other shows, ‘Mania Week is all about getting as much wrestling content as you can and getting an hour of highlights and potential matches from WWE Main Event is no exception.

#20: Will Asuka Be The First Japanese Woman To Hold A Women’s Singles Title In The WWE?

Asuka, or Kana for you international wrestling fans out there, has been blasting her way through the competition on WWE NXT. On Friday April 1st at WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas, Asuka will be challenging WWE NXT Women’s Champion Bayley for the gold. If Asuka is able to capture the championship, she would be the first Japanese born woman to hold a singles championship in WWE history. The only other women from Japan to hold gold in the WWE were the Jumping Bomb Angels, who held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the eighties. So, the question becomes on April 1st is this, will Asuka be making wrestling history or is Bayley keeping the reign alive?

#21: Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn, From The Canada Indy Scene To ‘Mania 32

Many, many moons ago, Kevin Owens was a brash upstart in Canada known as Kevin Steen and his biggest rival/tag team partner was a masked luchador named El Generico, better known to WWE fans as Sami Zayn. These two not only beat the crap out of each other wherever they went, but even held gold together, such as the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Championships. Over a decade ago, these two Canadian wrestling stars now meet again, this time though it is not happening in a high school gymnasium or smaller arena, it is happening at the biggest stage of them all...WWE Wrestlemania 32.

#22: Final Lucha Underground Before ‘Mania 32 (3/30 - Aztec Temple)

Once again, like I mentioned before with TNA Impact!, even though Lucha Underground is no way related to the WWE, Wrestlemania Week is about cramming all of the wrestling action you can on the biggest week on the wrestling calendar. Lucha Underground is definitely the oddest of all the wrestling shows that I could recommend watch that week, but it is also one of the most exciting and ‘Mania Week, once again, is all about getting as much wrestling in as you possibly can.

#23: The Dudley Boyz Return To WWE Wrestlemania (4/3 - AT&T Stadium - Dallas, TX)

For the first time since WWE Wrestlemania 20 over twelve years ago, the Dudley Boyz are making their returns to the grandest stage of them all. The Dudley Boyz will be taking on The Uso’s at the event in one of three tag team matches at the big event. In their last ‘Mania appearance at WWE Wrestlemania 20, the Dudley Boyz were on the losing end in a Fatal 4 Way Match, will they be on the winning side this time around?

#24: Mickie James Concert (3/31 - House Of Blues - Dallas, TX)

Mickie James has been on the grandest stage of them all, as she defeated the legendary Trish Stratus for the WWE Women’s Title at WWE Wrestlemania 22. Mickie James, now taking center stage at the House Of Blues to bring her special blend of country music to the masses will be on another grand stage. Mickie has achieved success in the squared circle since her time away from the WWE, winning the TNA Knockouts Title multiple times and she is active to this day. However, this is a great chance for you Mickie James and music fans as a whole to see another side to the wrestling great.

#25: WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas (4/1 - Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Arena - Dallas, TX)

Dave Scherer and Mike Johnson recently stated on the March 23rd edition of the We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Name Show that NXT Takeover: Dallas may be the highlight of the entire week of wrestling action. That was said with good intent because, WWE related or not, WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas is one of the most loaded cards for Wrestlemania Week. You will see Finn Balor defending the NXT World Heavyweight Title against Samoa Joe, Bayley defend the WWE NXT Women’s Title against Asuka, The Revival defending the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles against American Alpha and Sami Zayn takes on the debuting Shinsuke Nakamura. There are more matches to be announced and with three hours to fill, you can bet one of the biggest highlights of the week will be WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas.

#26: The Rivalry Continues (4/2 - Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Chris Hero and Zack Sabre Jr. have been battling out for nearly a decade now all over the world, from New Jersey to Germany to the United Kingdom and everywhere in between. At the WWN Live Supershow: Mercury Rising ‘16, the two will clash again as Zack Sabre Jr. Continues his quest to become the best in the world. The last stop on the journey for Sabre Jr. is Chris Hero and the fans who are in attendance will be in for a treat as these two rivals get it on one more time.

#27: Have Your own ‘Mania Marathon On The WWE Network

This is something that I suggested in this very same column before WWE Wrestlemania 31 and it is something that I am suggesting again this year. There are currently all thirty-two editions on the granddaddy of them all on the WWE Network, which is probably over a hundred hour’s worth of ‘Mania action. So, if you get yourself logged into the WWE Network about a week before ‘Mania 32 and you go through every past Wrestlemania, you should be done with some time to spare before this years ‘Mania extravaganza.

#28: Do Not Steal The Shows

Depending on how much wrestling action you decide to go for during ‘Mania Week, there are currently a total of five iPPV’s, WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas and even WWE Wrestlemania 32 all available online. Do not be a jerk and steal all of the shows, either pay for them legally and enjoy the action, or buddy up with some friends and split the cost. For all the wrestling promotions big and small that are participating in some way during ‘Mania Week, this is their biggest time of the year and if you are a true wrestling fan, you will be supporting them and not stealing from them.

#29: NXT Heading To CZW (4/1 - Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Combat Zone Wrestling is borrowing from the NXT book for its Dallas, Texas event when then bring to you a battle of former NXT stars. That is because Sami Callihan, or Solomon Crowe in NXT will take on Bull James, or Bull Dempsey in NXT. WWE NXT’s loss will be the gain of Combat Zone Wrestling and the fans in attendance at that event because these two are planning on showing the fans what NXT lost out in them. Callihan has been a part of CZW for years, holding various titles in the promotion and James will be making his CZW debut in this bout.

#30: How Will The Fans React To Roman Reigns?

This could be one of the most important questions we ask ourselves as we head into the main event of WWE Wrestlemania 32. Leading up to the event, fans from all over the place have been jeering and booing Reigns out of every arena that he steps in. This matter may not be helped at all at WWE Wrestlemania 32 because not just all folks from all over the United States, but all over the world will be in attendance and the international fans have not been too fond of Reigns as well. One thing is for sure and that is when the bell rings for the main event of WWE Wrestlemania 32, the crowd may become a bigger part of the show than the actual match itself.

#31: Thatcher/Riddle II (Evolve 58 - 4/1 - Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Back at Evolve 56 a few weeks ago, Timothy Thatcher successfully defended the Evolve Championship against Matthew Riddle, but it was not without some controversy. Thatcher accidentally nailed Riddle with a low blow before scoring the pin and keeping his belt, the controversy caused Riddle to demand an immediate rematch and it was granted. Riddle, in a dark segment at Evolve 57, demanded the WWE sign him and WWE NXT GM William Regal said that he must win the Evolve Title first and he will get another chance on April 1st.

#32: WWE 24: Thank You Daniel Bryan (3/28 - WWE Network)

Unfortunately, some late breaking news involving Daniel Bryan and future WWE appearances being cancelled has put a little damper over the week’s festivities. However, Daniel Bryan has had one of the most celebrated careers in all of wrestling history and it deserves to be celebrated and that is exactly what will be happening this Monday Night. That is because the WWE Network will be premiering a special/documentary looking at the career and recent retirement of Bryan and it is going to be a special that we all should be checking out.

#33: Scooby Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery

This one here, much like a future selection on this list, is geared more towards the younger generation of wrestling fans or for all you folks out there who simply enjoy cartoons (that includes me as well). The cartoon collaboration was the first between the WWE and the Hannah/Barbera Corporation, with many more soon to follow. The unfortunate thing about this one is that the cartoon special is not yet on the WWE Network, so a DVD/Blu-ray disc or online streaming is the only way to check this one out.

#34: The Rock Movie Marathon (4/3 - USA Network)

The Rock will be at WWE Wrestlemania 32 in a role that has really yet to be specified, but he will be appearing in another way that very same Sunday. That is because prior, during and after WWE Wrestlemania 32, the USA Network will be airing a movie marathon featuring films starring The Rock. Currently, the films that are going to be featured in the marathon are The Rundown, Faster, Fast Five and GI Joe: Retaliation. So, if all the wrestling that is taking place during ‘Mania Week becomes too much for you to take, you can catch up with some movies starring your favorite wrestling personality, The Rock.

#35: Final ROH On Comet Before ‘Mania 32 (3/30 - Municipal Auditorium - Nashville, TN)

Ring Of Honor has a pair of huge shows taking place during ‘Mania Week, so before they take place, there will be one more episode of ROH On Comet taking place. Much like what I said earlier about the other non-WWE related TV shows on this list, if you are a wrestling fan and ‘Mania Week is upon us, you are going to want to get as much wrestling content as you can and ROH will provide that. The show, ‘Mania Week or not, is always full of great wrestling action and this week should be no different.

#36: Brunch With The Stars (4/3 - Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, TX)

The ‘Mania Moments Brunch is upon us for the second year in a row thanks to the fine people at Wrestlecon and this year should be as memorable as last years. The wrestlers that will be eating brunch alongside you are Animal, Lex Luger, Terri Runnels, Colt Cabana, Stacy Carter, Matt Striker, Shane Helms, Missy Hyatt, Lance Storm and Abyss. That is a great list of wrestlers to eat brunch with and you never know who else is going to show up, which makes this event a must attend for all wrestling fans.

#37: From Wrestlekingdom X To Wrestlemania 32

AJ Styles has already had one of the most successful 2016’s of any wrestler and we are barely four months into the year. Styles kicked off the year by taking on then IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at NJPW Wrestlekingdom X. Now, at WWE Wrestlemania 32, Styles will take on Chris Jericho in a bout that is sure to end their rivalry. Styles, one ‘Mania 32 is complete, would have competed on the biggest shows in the two biggest promotions in the world in the same year, which is quite the accomplishment.

#38: Final WWE Smackdown Before ‘Mania 32 (3/31 - Barclays Center - Brooklyn, NY)

In the last few years, the Smackdown before Wrestlemania has been shot live at WWE Axxess while a match or two, which was usually taped at Raw, airs on the broadcast. This show is usually the last WWE broadcast on a major network before the granddaddy of them all, so it is always worth checking out for that reason alone. This may also be the most watched WWE Smackdown before ‘Mania 32 since the show moved to the USA Network a few months back.

#39: Jim Ross One Man Show (4/2 & 4/4 - House Of Blues - Dallas, TX)

Besides being one of the best color commentators in the wrestling business, Jim Ross is also one of the most profound wrestling personalities in the business as well. The Jim Ross One Man Show is one of the best shows around right now, especially with all the insight into the wrestling business that Jim Ross has, just considering how long he has been in the business in the first place. Unfortunately for everybody who has checked out ‘Mania in the last few years, JR has not been there to call the action and this may be the only way to see the wrestling great during the biggest wrestling week of them all.

#40: Ladder Match Mania (4/3 - AT&T Stadium - Dallas, TX)

A ladder match at Wrestlemania has been an ongoing tradition in some shape, way or form since WWE Wrestlemania 21 over a decade ago. This year at WWE Wrestlemania 32, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens puts the belt on the line against Sami Zayn, Stardust, Sin Cara, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Zack Ryder. Although hardcore wrestling fans who remember the Owens/Zayn rivalry probably wanted to see the singles match, this ladder match will still be a spectacle worth checking out. Stardust competed in the WWE Intercontinental Title last year at WWE Wrestlemania 31 and is the only wrestler to repeat this year, but get ready Dallas, because ladder match excellence is coming your way.

#41: Queens Of Combat X (4/1 - Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, TX)

If you are a women’s wrestling fan and you have not been paying attention to Queens Of Combat, then you are truly missing out on something special. The event that will be taking place during ‘Mania weekend will see QOC Champion Taeler Hendrix defend against Jessicka Havok and Tessa Blanchard, Mickie James faces Lufisto and Mandy Leon face Brittany Blake, plus more to be announced. Women’s wrestling action will be at a premium during ‘Mania Week and Queens Of Combat may prove to be the best of it all.

#42: Final WWE Superstars Before ‘Mania 32 (4/1 – Barclays Center - Brooklyn, NY)

Whether it is ‘Mania season or not, WWE Superstars is usually the most avoided show of wrestling fans because there really has not been a match of importance on the show in years. However, if you have read any of my other similar posts like this one, you know exactly where this is heading to. It will be ‘Mania Week and it is time for wrestling fans to get in as much wrestling content as they can during the week and WWE Superstars does qualify as more wrestling content. Also, it will be the final first run show the WWE airs before the festivities begin Friday Night with WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas, so it will be worth checking out.

#43: Best In The World Challenge Series Continues (4/1 & 4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

International wrestling star Zack Sabre Jr. is on the warpath right now to declare himself the best wrestler in the world. Sabre Jr. will be getting a trio of big tests at Evolve 58, Evolve 59 and the WWN Supershow because he will be facing Will Ospreay at Evolve 58, Matthew Riddle at Evolve 59 and then longtime rival Chris Hero at the WWN Supershow. Assuming Sabre Jr. is able to go three for three and defeat this trio of amazing wrestlers, it very well may be time to call him the “Best Wrestler In The World.”

#44: Team Ryan vs. Team Jarrett (4/2 – Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, TX)

This year will see year two of the five versus five tag team match, with Joey Ryan and Jeff Jarrett being the captains of the team this year at the Wrestlecon Supershow. Last year, such luminaries as the Dudley Boyz, Abyss, James Storm, Tommy Dreamer, Bryan Myers, Chris Hero and Colt Cabana were a part of this wild match. It will be interesting to see who is brought in for each respective team this year and what kind of craziness will be happening, but this match is usually one of the most anticipated of ‘Mania Week in general and it is not hard to see why.

#45: A Time To Shine (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

A few years back at the Shimmer and WWN Supershow events during WWE Wrestlemania 30 weekend, Ivelisse was the first woman to defend the Shine Championship when she defeated both Kimber Lee and Jazz that weekend. Fast forward two years later and now Ivelisse is the former champion who will be challenging current champion Taylor Made for the gold she once held at this year’s WWN Supershow. Ivelisse recently teamed with Amanda Rodriguez in a losing effort to Valifornia (Marti Belle & Jayme Jamison) for the Shine Tag Team Titles, so this could be her final chance to earn Shine gold for a long time.

#46: How The Slew Of Injuries Affect ‘Mania 32?

This Wrestlemania may go down in the annals of WWE history as the Wrestlemania that was leveled and hampered by a plethora of major superstars going down to injuries. This years, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Randy Orton, Nikki Bella, Luke Harper, Tyson Kidd and a slew of others I cannot even remember are all down with injury, thus will be missing the biggest wrestling event of the year. That is not to say that ‘Mania 32 is not worth watching, because it will be worth watching, but just think about how much better the show would’ve been if all of the above names were in action.

#47: Another Battle Royal (4/3 – St. Jude Hall – Arlington, TX)

The Andre The Giant memorial Battle Royal is not the only battle royal taking place at ‘Mania Week because there are a total of three. VIP Wrestling, which will be holding an event after WWE Wrestlemania 32 (more on that later) is holding a special battle royal as a part of their event. While only one name has been announced for the battle royal as of this writing, it is a big name at that because it will be Jake “The Snake” Roberts taking part in the action. The Snake has been overcoming his battle with his demons and his comeback journey will continue as he looks to walk away with the battle royal victory.

#48: USA Network To Air 1 Hour ‘Mania 32 Pre-Show (4/3)

It has truly been many years since the USA Network has hosted a pre-show special for any WWE pay-per-view, nevertheless a Wrestlemania. That all changes this year because the network will be holding a special one-hour pre-show for WWE Wrestlemania 32. What makes this even more spectacular is that the 3rd Annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal will be taking place during the special, so fans will get see to who joins the likes of the Big Show and Cesaro as past winners of the trophy.

#49: Taz CBS Radio Post-Mania Show (4/3)

Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Superstar and former TNA commentator Taz will be bringing his awesome radio show to the masses right after the granddaddy of them all comes to a conclusion. The highly touted Taz Show will broadcast live from three hours after WWE Wrestlemania 32 and it will be broadcast live in over 200 markets. Even better, PWInsider’s own Mike Johnson will be appearing live on the broadcast to provide his insight into all the action as well. If you want to listen to the Taz Show after WWE Wrestlemania 32 or just anytime, visit http://www1.play.it/the-taz-show/

#50: ROH Supercard Of Honor Weekend (4/1 & 4/2 – Hyatt Regency Dallas – Dallas, TX)

Ring Of Honor has had a huge presence every year at Wrestlemania for a long time now and 2016 will be no different as ROH presents Supercard Of Honor ’16 Weekend. The events will double as a TV taping and a future video on demand release, so if you are not able to attend either show, you will still have the opportunity to see all that goes down in the near future. The show will see such stars as ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, ROH Tag Team Champions War Machine, The Addiction, The Motor City Machineguns, Lio Rush, Roderick Strong, ReDragon, Adam Cole, Matt Sydal and more competed in the matches you have been craving for a while now.

#51: Jacqueline First African American Woman In WWE Hall Of Fame

Some more history will be made in the biggest wrestling week of the year as soon to be 2016 WWE Hall Of Fame members Jacqueline will become the first African American woman to be inducted into the WWE Hall OF Fame. Jacqueline, also as Miss Texas before her time in the WWE, is one of the toughest and most decorated women in the history of the business. Jacqueline was a multi-time USWA Women’s Champion, WWE Women’s Champion and even a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion. So, being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame is just another fine moment in an amazing career.

#52: Territory Wrestling League Double Shot (4/1 & 4/2 - Collins Entertainment & Events Center - Arlington, TX)

The Territory Wrestling League is the brainchild of WWE Hall Of Fame member Rikishi and it features a team challenge like concept. The promotion will undoubtedly be running their two biggest events of all time during ‘Mania Weekend. The three territories that will be represented at this event are Amarillo (Texas), San Francisco (California) and Dallas (Texas). The online announced names that are competing thus far is the aforementioned Rikishi and the Samoan Dynasty, but these will be some events worth checking out.

#53: A Storm Is A Coming (4/2 – Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, TX)

Wrestlecon has always put together some amazing matches in the wrestling portion of their festivities and this year is no different. That is because that former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Matt Hardy will be taking on ECW/WCW/WWE star Lance Storm, who rarely appears in the wrestling ring anymore. Hardy has been putting together some amazing work in the last few months and Storm continues to impress more than his age would let you think, so we are going to be in for something special.

#54: Lana To make Her In Ring Debut

Despite being in the WWE for nearly two years now, Lana has yet to make her official in ring debut as a wrestler. That all changes at WWE Wrestlemania 32 as Lana teams with Team BAD, Emma and Summer Rae against Brie Bella, Paige, Alicia Fox, Natalya and a partner to be named. Lana was originally set to make her in ring debut in 2015, but a wrist injury suffered during training postponed all of that. Now, Lana is healthy and ready to go and she makes her highly anticipated debut at the biggest wrestling event of the year.

#55: More Autograph Sessions Than Your Pen Can Handle (144

If you are a fan of meeting, greeting and even getting autographs from your favorite wrestlers, you are in for a treat during ‘Mania 32 Week. According to my last count, between Wrestlecon, WWE Axxess and all of the other special events taking place during the week, you can get well over two hundred autographs, assuming you are able to get your pen and paper to each of them before the clock hits zero. There are wrestlers from all over the world coming to town for ‘Mania Week and this is a great opportunity for all of you out there to meet all of your heroes.

#56: Making An Impact (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

Full Impact Pro has had its ups and downs since its inception almost a decade ago, but in the last few years, it has found some steady ground for the first time since the ROH partnership ended. The FIP Heavyweight Title will be defended at the WWN Supershow as Caleb Konley defends against Maxwell Chicago, Jason Cade and Gary Jay. Konley has been a mainstay of the ‘Mania Weekend events for a while now and Chicago was a breakout star at the WWN Supershow two years ago, but Cade and Jay will be getting the biggest exposure of their careers at the event.

#57: Where Are the Tables?

On the WWE Wrestlemania 32 preshow, the Dudley Boyz will be competing at ‘Mania for the first time in a decade when they battle The Uso’s in a tag team match. Now, while there is no doubt that this will be an excellent tag team match, there is something that has yet to really be discussed about the match. That thing that is seemingly missing from this match is what the Dudley Boyz have been known for since their time in ECW, that is tables. Rumors have suggested that the teams will rematch in a Tables Match at WWE Extreme Rules, but it seems like that at the biggest wrestling show of the year, all the stops should have been pulled and in this case, they were not.

#58: Lucha Underground Roundtable (4/1 - Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, TX)

People’s feelings about Lucha Underground are on the wide end of both spectrums as people either really like it or they really hate it. Members from the Lucha Underground universe will be taking part in a special roundtable discussion with the fans at Wrestlecon. This will be the first and potentially only shot that fans will have to interact with those in Lucha Underground, so if you are a fan of the product they put out, you will have a chance to hear some inside stories from the show.

#59: WWE Wrestlemania In Ring Debuts

This year, much like all past years that WWE Wrestlemania took place, there will be several wrestlers who will be making their in ring debuts at the event. This year will see Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Tyler Breeze, Kalisto, Xavier Woods, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, AJ Styles and Lana will all be making their in ring debuts at the event. Of course, this list may be off because all the participants of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal have yet to be announced, so this list can grow still by the time we get to Sunday.

#60: Will We Feel The Force At ‘Mania Week?

A few years back after WWE Wrestlemania 29, Jeff Jarrett announced that Global Force Wrestling would be forming and they would be a player in the wrestling game. Fast forward a few years later and why the promotion has run a few shows, they have yet to make any actual impact in the business. In an era where just about every wrestling promotion is running an event during ‘Mania Week, GFW is mind numbingly absent from the week. Outside of The Jarrett’s signing autographs and Jeff Jarrett competing at Wrestlecon, GFW is as silent as can be during the biggest wrestling week of the year.

#61: Oh! What A Rush (4/1 – Hyatt Regency Dallas - Dallas, Texas)

Usually the winner of the annual Ring Of Honor Top Prospect Tournament will receive a shot at the ROH Television Championship. However, since ROH TV Champion Tomohiro Ishii is currently in Japan, tournament winner Lio Rush will instead be getting a golden opportunity as he will challenge ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal. Rush has not been a professional wrestler for that long and the fact that he is challenging for arguably one of the biggest titles in all the wrestling world shows just how good he is. Lethal has turned away a plethora of challengers at this point in his reign, but will Rush pull the biggest upset ever and win the gold, we will find out in a few short days.

#62: WWE Network Show Announcements

Last year at WWE Wrestlemania 31, we got a quick commercial in between the action showing all of the new programming that was heading to the WWE Network. Assuming the same thing will be happening again this year, it will be interesting to see what kind of new stuff will be heading our way this year. Unfortunately, last year’s announcement saw several flops like Swerved and Jerry Springer’s WWE Show, maybe we will get lucky this year and we will be getting some great show announcements over the crap we got last year.

#63: CZW Returns To ‘Mania Week (4/1 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

For the first time in several years, Combat Zone Wrestling will be holding an event as part of the ‘Mania Week festivities. The event will see Matt Tremont defend the CZW World Heavyweight Title against Masada in a no ropes barbed wire match. Also, the Women’s Superstars Uncensored Title will be defended and there will even be a six man tag team tables match. Even better for you wrestling fans out there, this year’s event from CZW will air live on iPPV, unlike their last event during ‘Mania Week.

#64: Is NXT Stepping Up To Another Level?

The drawing power of WWE NXT is no joke, whether they are running the Barclays Center during WWE Summerslam weekend or across the pond in England, the fans are there and there are no seats left empty in the arena’s whatsoever. WWE NXT is arguably having the biggest show in the promotions history this coming Friday Night as they present WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas. Currently, there are only four matches announced for the show, but with the amazingly talented roster currently there, whatever remaining matches take place will no doubt be something special as well. If WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas comes even close to the expectations of the WWE and fans alike, what barrier will they possibly break through next?

#65: Are We Seeing An NWA Revival?

One of the first major events taking place during ‘Mania Week in the NWA Parade Of Champions event that is taking place on March 31st. The event will see a total of four NWA Championships being defended, those championships are the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, NWA North American Championship, NWA Women’s Championship and the NWA Tag Team Championships. If this event proves to be a success, can the National Wrestling Alliance build on the momentum to bring the company back to what it once was, the spark may be lit this Thursday Night.

#66: Tailgate Party With The Funkster (4/3 – 1010 Collins Entertainment Center - Dallas, TX)

Terry Funk, is without a doubt, one of the greatest competitors to have ever stepped foot inside a professional wrestling ring. The Funkster will be honored at the WWN Supershow on April 2nd (more on that later), but you fans will have another opportunity to join Terry Funk at a special tailgate party right across the street from AT&T Stadium, which is hosting WWE Wrestlemania 32. So, you will not only be attending a tailgate party and get the chance to meet Terry Funk, but you will get to enjoy some awesome BBQ as well, you cannot go wrong with that.

#67: Stone Cold Podcast With Mick Foley (3/31 - WWE Network)

One of the best reasons to purchase the WWE Network is for the Stone Cold Podcast and this coming Thursday, the podcast will feature Mick Foley as the special guest. Steve Austin has had a plethora of great guests on his WWE Network Podcast specials like Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Big Show, Paige, Brock Lesnar and others. Mick Foley and Steve Austin have had a storied history together, plus Foley has had a storied career, which should make this edition one of the best podcast live specials in WWE Network history.

#68: PWInsiderElite ‘Mania 32 Post-Game Show

Besides the archive of past ‘Mania post-game shows and the Mike Johnson/Buck Woodward ‘Mania History audios, the best reason to stay up long after WWE Wrestlemania 32 concludes is to see what those on the world’s best professional wrestling website, PWInsiderElite.com has to say. From insightful commentary to many great laughs to even a good rant or two, the post-game show for WWE Wrestlemania 32 will definitely be worth checking out.

#69: Shinsuke Nakamura Makes WWE Debut (4/1 - Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Arena - Dallas, TX)

One of the greatest Japanese wrestlers of the last decade or so is Shinsuke Nakamura and if his WWE debut at WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas is the first time you will be seeing him in action, then you are in for a treat. Nakamura, during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, held the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, IWGP Intercontinental Championship and he won more tournaments than I dare to count. Nakamura will be making his WWE debut against Sami Zayn, who is simply an amazing wrestler in his own right. Nakamura is going to make an impact in the WWE in one form or another and it all begins this Friday Night at WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas.

#70: USA vs. Europe Series (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Professional wrestling fans from all around the world will argue until the end of time as to which country has the best professional wrestlers. On April 2nd, Evolve will attempt to answer the question, at least when it comes to the United States versus Europe as there will be a four match series to determine just which country has the best professional wrestlers. The United States will be represented by Ricochet, Timothy Thatcher, Matthew Riddle and TJ Perkins, while Europe will be represented by Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Zack Sabre Jr. and Tommy End. The battle will come to a head this Saturday Night as we find out just which country is the best, the United States or Europe.

#71: The End Of The Premier Athlete Brand? (4/1 - Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

One of the most dominant factions in the entire history of Evolve in The Premier Athlete Brand, which currently consists of Anthony Nese, Caleb Konley, SoCal Val and Andrea. The duo is set to challenge Evolve Tag Team Champions Drew Galloway and Johnny Gargano at Evolve 58. The Premier Athlete Brand though has stated that if they are unsuccessful at winning the gold, then they will split up and never team together again. Just a year ago during the ‘Mania Weekend events, The Premier Athlete Brand won the six man tag team tournament and this year they may be done for good, but the only way to find out is to check out Evolve 58.

#72: What Role Will The Rock Play At ‘Mania 32?

For the last month and change, the WWE has been advertising The Rock to be making a special guest appearance at WWE Wrestlemania 32. However, while we know for sure that The Rock will be at the granddaddy of them all, what nobody knows yet is what kind of role will he be playing at the event. Will he be involved in the Roman Reigns/Triple H match, or will he be in a segment with John Cena and/or Steve Austin, will he be teaming with The New Day against The League Of Nations, nobody knows and with the WWE not announcing a specific role, it will be a mystery up until ‘Mania itself as to exactly what The Rock will be doing.

#73: WSU Title Bout (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

Ever since Jessicka Havok made her return to WSU a few months back after the whole debacle that saw her get stripped of the WSU Championship by DJ Hyde, she has been hunting down Cherry Bomb to regain what she has never lost. As a part of the Combat Zone Wrestling event during ‘Mania Weekend, Havok will get her long anticipated opportunity when she faces WSU Champion Cherry Bomb. Bomb recently signed with TNA herself and is also coming off of a collarbone injury, so this will be her biggest match since both of those situations. Will Havok get back what she never actually lost or will Bomb continue her dominant reign over WSU, tune in Friday Night to find out.

#74: WWE Axxess (3/31 to 4/3 – Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center – Dallas, TX)

One of the greatest highlights of the entire week of wrestling events and activities is the four-day session known as WWE Axxess. Whether you are seeking autographs from your favorite WWE Superstars, checking out memorabilia from past and present WWE Superstars, watching live in ring action or just walking through the plethora of exhibits at the convention center, this is the stuff for you. Every year, WWE Axxess continues to improve upon itself and deliver one of the best fan experiences of all time, this year will definitely continue that tradition.

#75: Even More Battle Royal Action (3/31 – Ridglea Theater - Fort Worth, TX)

If you are going to get a shot at the NWA North American Champion at the 2016 NWA Parade Of Champions, you are going to have to earn it the hard way. That can be said because there will be a battle royal at the 2016 NWWA Parade Of Champions and the winner will receive an NWA North American Title shot against champion Tim Storm later in the evening. This is arguably the biggest event of the year for the National Wrestling Alliance and if a wrestler can both win the battle royal, then the championship, he will be on the road to stardom.

#76: Two Rivalries May Come To An End (4/2 – Hyatt Regency Dallas – Dallas, TX)

Two of the biggest rivalries on going in Ring Of Honor right now are Adam Cole versus Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong versus Bobby Fish. Cole will be battling longtime rival and former Future Shock tag team partner O’Reilly in a No DQ Match at ROH Supercard Of Honor Night Two. At the very same event, former ROH World Heavyweight Champion and former ROH World TV Champion Strong faces Fish in a two out of three falls match. These are two hard hitting rivalries and they have been brewing for months, even years now in some cases, but they will be coming to a head this coming weekend.

#77: Will The Bullet/Balor Club Make Their WWE Debut?

Ever since Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson all left New Japan Pro Wrestling for the WWE in the past two years, fans have been speculating that a Bullet Club reunion may happen in the WWE or NXT. Recently, everybody on that list, minus Doc Gallows, has been active on both Twitter and in interviews about a possible faction forming in the WWE. We already known that all for, especially Balor and Styles, are under contract and when they all do eventually pop up, it will be interesting to see if they are together or if they are separate.

#78: Get On The Bus (4/3 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

Are you somebody who is going to want to enjoy all the action provided by the WWN Live Experience and then also want to get over to see WWE Wrestlemania 32, well then, there is a bus trip for you. The busses will hold up to fifty people each and will depart from Eddie Deen’s Ranch to AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas for the granddaddy of them all. Even better, there will be buses filling up again until two hours after ‘Mania 32, which will be a huge convenience for all the fans. Plus, considering this is a part of the WWN Live Experience, you never know what kind of bonus surprises you may get on your bus ride.

#79: The WWE Diva’s Revolution Culminates

In the summer of 2016, Stephanie McMahon introduced three new WWE Divas to the main roster in Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks. That night, according to many, was what sparked the divas revolution on the main roster, a continuation of the revolution that had already begun on WWE NXT. The revolution has had its ups and downs since the trio of WWE debuts, but since Sasha Banks returned in January and Becky Lynch turned up the heat with her rivalry against Charlotte, the revolution has been back in full swing. This coming Sunday at WWE Wrestlemania 32, arguably the biggest women’s match in ‘Mania history since ‘Mania 22 (Trish Stratus/Mickie James) will be taking place and it should be spectacular.

#80: The Heart Of Shimmer (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

For the first time in eight years, Shimmer will be adding a new championship to the promotion in the Heart Of Shimmer Championship. The brand new championship will be held by the woman who wins a three round, twelve-woman tournament, with a triple threat elimination match being in the finals. The twelve women vying for the gold are current Shimmer Tag Team Champions The KimberBombs (Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb), former Shimmer Champion Cheerleader Melissa, former Shimmer Champion Nicole Matthews, Candice LeRae, Veda Scott, former TNA Knockouts Champion Jessicka Havok, Nicole Savor, former Shine Tag Team Champion Leva Bates, Heidi Lovelace, Lufisto and Mary Dobson.

#81: The Mania After ‘Mania (4/3 – St. Jude Hall - Arlington, TX)

Just because the biggest wrestling event on the wrestling calendar concludes does not mean that the action will. That can be said because an hour after WWE Wrestlemania 32 comes to a close, VIP Wrestling will be holding an event that will feature Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Sami Callihan, Raymond Rowe, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Joey Ryan and many more. The event will even see a battle royal featuring the aforementioned Jake “The Snake” Roberts, plus the VIP Wrestling Tag Team Championships will be defended.

#82: Who Will Make Surprise Appearances At ‘Mania 32?

The one thing that has happened at just about every Wrestlemania since it began over thirty years ago is that celebrities and wrestling personalities always pop up to make surprise appearances. We already know that The Rock, Steve Austin and John Cena are scheduled to make non-wrestling appearances at the event, so it will be truly interesting to see who will be popping up backstage or in the ring. Will we see such WWE legends as Mick Foley or Terry Funk pop up, or even celebrities like Maria Menuenos make an appearance, you will have to check out WWE Wrestlemania 32 to find out.

#83: So, You Wanna Be A Wrestler? (4/1 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Outside of heading straight to the WWE to begin your career as a pro wrestler, which is a longshot opportunity at best, heading the upcoming Evolve Tryouts during ‘Mania Weekend may be the best shot you can ever get for both exposure and a shot at national stardom. The thing that makes this particular tryout so much more important than the others is that WWE officials will be in attendance as well. With the WWE/Evolve relationship continuing to expand with each passing day, this is a tryout you are going to want to be on.

#84: Walk The Red Carpet (4/2 – American Airlines Center - Dallas, TX)

An hour before the 2016 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony kicks off on the WWE Network, there will be a one-hour red carpet special that will feature past, present and possibly even future WWE stars walking the red carpet. The special will be hosted by Maria Meneunos, who herself participated in Wrestlemania when she teamed with Kelly Kelly to defeat Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. Last year’s hour long special was something to check out with all of the appearances and such, this year should be no different.

#85: The Tradition Continues (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

Many years back, Dragon Gate made their United States debut at a Ring Of Honor Supercard Of Honor event. The six man tag team match the promotion put on that night was so amazing that it sparked a brand new tradition of an annual six man tag team match during ‘Mania Week. The tradition has since moved from ROH to Evolve and even Dragon Gate is no longer part of it since the closing of Dragon Gate USA last year. However, this is still one of the major highlights of the year and this year is no different as Team Originals (Johnny Gargano, TJ Perkins & Kota Ibushi) take on Team Future (Tommy End, Marty Scurll & Will Ospreay).

#86: WWE & The Flintstones “Stone Age Smackdown”

If you read my column last year or even what I wrote earlier in this piece about the WWE/Scooby Doo feature film, then you know what to expect here. With ‘Mania Week upon us now and the goal of the week is to consume as much wrestling content as humanly possible, why not throw in the WWE superstars trip to Bedrock in the “Stone Age Smackdown.” This is my personal favorite of the two WWE/Hannah Barbera cartoons that have been released thus far, so there you go. However you look at it, seeing your favorite WWE superstars in animated form alongside The Flintstones is pretty cool.

#87: Monsters Ball Coming To Texas (4/2 – Hyatt Regency Dallas – Dallas, TX)

A Monsters Ball Match outside of the TNA auspices in truly a rare thing and if you are attending the WrestleCon supershow this Saturday Night, you will be getting up close and personal with the hardcore action. The five competitors in the match are Abyss, Trevor Lee, Jeff Hardy, AR Fox and a mystery opponent that will be revealed at the event. There will be a lot of violent, hardcore action taking place at Wrestlecon and you will have these five competitors to thank for it all.

#88: Joan Lunden To Receive Warrior Award (4/2 – American Airlines Arena – Dallas, TX)

Although her roles in professional wrestling have been limited at best, Joan Lunden is one of the most inspirational folks around right now, having survived triple negative breast cancer. Lunden, having survived triple negative breast cancer, has now shifted her focus to helping others survive this terrible ordeal. The Warrior Award will be presented to Lunden by the widow of the late Warrior, Dana Warrior and Lunden will be the second person to receive the award, the late Conor “The Crusher” was the first person to get the award.

#89: No iPPV Or PPV For ROH During ‘Mania Week?

For the third straight year in a row, Ring Of Honor will not be presenting their ‘Mania Weekend events on either iPPV or traditional pay-per-view. The last time they presented their ‘Mania Weekend events to the fans not in attendance was three years back, when Jay Briscoe defeated Kevin Steen to win the ROH World Championship. With Evolve, Combat Zone Wrestling, Shimmer and Kaiju Big Battel putting their events live on iPPV this weekend, it seems like Ring Of Honor is missing out on giving the fans who could not attend some special moments to remember.

#90: Will The Second Time Be The Charm? (4/1 - Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Arena – Dallas, TX)

The main event of WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas will see WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor defending the gold against Samoa Joe. These two have clashed before for the gold a few months earlier at WWE NXT Takeover: London, where Balor defeated Joe to successfully retain the championship. Joe earned another opportunity at the championship when he defeated Sami Zayn in a two out of three falls match. Joe will now be getting a rare second opportunity at the WWE NXT Championship, but will he walk away with the gold this time or will he be leaving again empty handed?

#91: Terry Funk Appreciation (4/2 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

There is no doubt about it that Terry Funk is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and he is also one of the most beloved amongst the wrestling fans of the world. Funk is going to be honored by the folks at the WWN, because at the WWN Supershow, Funk will be honored by his peers for the amazing career he had. Funk most recently popped up on WWE Raw in a segment with Dean Ambrose, which gave a whole new generation of fans a chance to get a tiny glimpse into what the Funkster is all about. It is always great to see another wrestling legend get honored by his peers in the business and Terry Funk is undoubtedly one of the best.

#92: Dusty Rhodes To Be Honored (3/31 - Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center – Dallas, TX)

One of the saddest moments of the last year was the passing of the legendary Dusty Rhodes, who was not only one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling, but one of the most influential wrestlers of all time as well. Rhodes has been honored multiple times by the WWE and many other wrestling promotions since his untimely passing, but perhaps the biggest tribute to this legend may be coming this Thursday at WWE Axxess. Rumors have suggested that a statue has been created in his honor, but anything that shows just how awesome “The Dream” was is great in my book.

#93: Kaiju Big Battel (4/1 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch – Dallas, TX)

Perhaps the least wrestling related thing taking place as part of the activities happening during the biggest wrestling week of the season is Kaiju Big Battel. For those who have never seen this spectacle before, a wrestling ring is essentially filled with miniaturized buildings, which people in costumes that are trying to destroy the fictional city and a team of heroes will come out to stop the monsters from carrying out their evil plans. The only wrestling related thing I can think of when it pertains to this show is that Japanese wrestling star Kota Ibushi will be participating in the proceedings.

#94: Will The WWE/Evolve Relationship Continue At ‘Mania Weekend?

Recently, it was announced that some of the qualifying matches for the WWE Cruiserweight Series, which is taking place in a few months, will be happening at future Evolve events. It was also announced recently that select WWE officials will be in attendance this weekend when WWN/Evolve holds tryouts in Dallas, TX. It seems that with each passing day, the relationship between the WWE and Evolve continues to strengthen, it will be interesting to see if any further developments happen this week between the two sides.

#95: The WWN Wrap Up Party (4/3 – Eddie Deen’s Ranch - Dallas, TX)

There is nothing more relaxing and just refreshing then when all the Wrestlemania Week activities are over than to just relax and party. The folks at the World Wrestling Network will be giving you that opportunity when they hold the WWN Wrap Up Party. The party will be the last chance to hang out with all the wrestling fans before life goes back to normal and we all go back to our normal lives. The folks at the WWN do an amazing job with what they put together each year during ‘Mania Week and this year is no exception, so why not party with some of the bets around.

#96: Will There Be Any Post-’Mania 32 Debuts?

One of the best reasons to tune into both WWE Wrestlemania 32 and the WWE Raw the following day to see which new wrestlers pop up in the WWE. Last year, there was several new wrestlers who popped up in the WWE and who could forget a few years back when Brock Lesnar returned to the WWE after being away for nearly a decade. With such luminaries as Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Bayley and other wrestlers seemingly primed to pop up on WWE TV soon, it will be anyone’s guess to see who actually pops up.

#97: It’s Time To Make Some Progress (4/2 – Hyatt Regency Hotel Dallas – Dallas, TX)

If you are a wrestling fan and you have not checked out Progress Wrestling, which is based out of Europe, then you are missing out on some truly special stuff. At the Wrestlecon Supershow, Marty Scurll will be defending the Progress Wrestling Championship against Will Ospreay. This bout may have been a last second addition to the card, but it may be one of the best wrestling matches you may see all week. Scurll is starting to build a name for himself internationally and Ospreay is set to debut soon for NJPW, so this match is between two names that are soon to be huge all over the world.

#98: WWE Raw After ‘Mania 32 (4/4 – American Airlines Center – Dallas, TX)

One of the liveliest shows of the wrestling year is always the WWE Raw that takes place after a Wrestlemania. The mix of international fans who are still around from the night before and the regular fans who attend WWE Raw have always brought some amazing energy to the building. Also, like I said earlier in this column, it is always interesting to see who pops up on Raw, because there are always surprises that take place that night. It is one of the wackiest and zaniest nights in pro wrestling is the WWE Raw after ‘Mania, so get ready folks, because it is upon us.

#99: Will Thatcher Leave The Week As Evolve Champion?

Timothy Thatcher was the breakout star last year during the Evolve shows and he is now the current Evolve Champion. Thatcher will have his hands full this year as he defends the gold against Matthew Riddle, Sami Callihan and Marty Scurll. Defeating all three opponents in a two-day time frame would be an amazing accomplishment for Thatcher, who is currently on the radar of WWE NXT GM Williams Regal, which was expressed when Regal appeared on some recent Evolve events. If Thatcher can walk away champion after facing all three of these opponents, it may be safe to declare him the best wrestler not signed to a major promotion.

#100: WWE Smackdown After ‘Mania 32 (4/7 – Toyota Center – Houston, TX)

The final major event taking place during the whole ‘Mania Week is the Smackdown taping that takes place the Tuesday after ‘Mania. While there is little pomp and circumstance at the event, the remaining international fans are usually bringing their rowdiness to the blue brand before heading back home. While all the debuts and surprises usually take place the night before on WWE Raw, there are still a few shocks and surprises left for the Smackdown fans. There is no better way to end your ‘Mania Week than with some quality wrestling action from WWE Smackdown, what a fitting end it all is.
