With current featherweight champion Conor McGregor facing Nate Diaz in a rematch at UFC 200, an interim featherweight champion will be crowned at the same event as Jose Aldo faces Frankie Edgar. Aldo is a former UFC Featherweight Champion and he previously defended the belt against Edgar, defeating him by decision at UFC 156. Edgar is a former UFC Lightweight Champion and he has won five fights in a row since that loss to Aldo, with two of those wins coming over former UFC/WEC champions. UFC 200 takes place on July 9th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz headlining.
