Welcome to the PWInsiderXtra.com live coverage of New Japan Pro Wrestling “Road To Invasion Attack ‘16”, live from the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Match #1 - Singles Match: Teruaki Kanemitsu vs. Hirai Kawato

This match begins with the two doing some amateur wrestling, Kanemitsu nails Kawato with a chop while holding him against the ropes. The two do some chain wrestling with nobody getting a clear advantage, Kanemitsu works the headlock on Kawato and he uses that to get him to the ground. Kawato breaks free and he locks Kanemitsu in a head scissors, Kanemitsu breaks free and reapplies the headlock. Kanemitsu then drops Kawato with a shoulder tackle, Kawato recovers and drops Kanemitsu with a back elbow strikes. Kawato then attacks Kanemitsu with a bunch of forearm strikes, Kanemitsu recovers and drops a charging Kawato with a back elbow strike before applying a chin lock. Kanemitsu rolls for the arm bar and Kawato counters with a roll up for the near fall, Kanemitsu recovers to hip toss Kawato and he again applies the arm bar.

Kawato escapes the arm bar by getting to the ropes to force a break, Kanemitsu then hits Kawato with a running back elbow strike before wrenching on his injured arm. Kanemitsu looks for the arm bar again and Kawato gets to the ropes, the two wrestlers then exchange strikes in the corner. Kawato starts attacking Kanemitsu with a plethora of forearm strikes, Kanemitsu recovers and slams Kawato for the near fall. Kawato gets up and he cracks a charging Kanemitsu with a drop kick, Kawato backs Kanemitsu in the corner by nailing him with more forearm strikes. Kawato then drops Kanemitsu with a standing drop kick, Kawato then goes for the Boston crab and Kanemitsu gets to the ropes. The two wrestlers go through a series of reversals and pin attempts, Kanemitsu then locks Kawato in the Boston crab and the bell sounds to signal that the time limit ran out.

Winner: Time Limit Draw

Match #2 - Singles Match: David Finlay vs. Jay White

This bout begins with Finlay scoring a takedown on White and the two do some chain wrestling, Finlay then starts working over the arm of White. White eventually escapes and he briefly applies a headlock to Finlay, White then drops Finlay with a shoulder tackle. White then attacks Finlay with strikes in the corner, but Finlay recovers to drop White with a flying forearm strike. Finlay then slams White right into the bottom ring rope, Finlay then starts working over the leg of White. Finlay starts stomping and dropping elbows on the injured leg of White, White recovers and drops a charging Finlay with a drop kick. White then hits Finlay with forearm strikes and European uppercuts, White follows that up by hitting Finlay with a running European uppercut and a suplex. White then goes to the top rope to hit Finlay with a missile drop kick for a two count, Finlay then lands a kick to the hurt leg of White.

Finlay then catches a charging White with a drop kick of his own, Finlay follows that up by nailing White with a running European uppercut and a modified back breaker. Finlay then catches White with a leaping European uppercut for a two count, Finlay then locks White in a single leg Boston crab and White breaks it by grabbing the ropes. White escapes a German suplex attempt from Finlay and the two start exchanging forearm strikes, Finlay goes for the Finlay roll and White counters into a Boston crab and then Lion tamer to force a tap out.

Winner: Jay White

Match #3 - Six Man Tag Team Match: Tiger Mask IV, Jushin Liger & Kushida vs. Chaos (Gedo, Trent Berretta & Rocky Romero)

This one begins with the members of Chaos jumping all three of their opponents, Gedo then starts working over Liger in the ring before tagging Romero in. Romero briefly works over Liger before tagging Berretta in, Romero tags back in and he stomps on Liger before tagging Gedo in. Gedo ties Liger’s arm in the ropes so Romero can kick away at it, Berretta tags back in and he stomps on a downed Liger. All three members of Chaos hit the ring and Liger takes them all out with tilt-a-whirl back breakers before tagging Mask IV in, Mask IV starts attacking all three members of Chaos. Mask IV then hits Gedo with a spin kick to the midsection, Berretta and Romero then hit a charging Mask IV with a double knee strike. Romero then attacks Mask IV with some kicks before tagging Berretta in, Berretta and Romero then hit Mask IV with some double team moves to get a two count. Berretta slows things down by holding Mask IV in a headlock, Gedo illegally chokes Mask IV as Romero gets the tag.

Romero nearly rips the mask off of the face of Mask IV, Romero then crushes Mask IV with a bunch of running clotheslines. Mask IV recovers and somehow hits Romero with a Tiger Driver before tagging Kushida in, Kushida then attacks Romero with a bunch of kicks and a series of drop kicks. Kushida then hits Romero with a standing moonsault for the two count, Romero eventually catches Kushida with a mule kick to the face before all of Chaos hits the ring to attack him. Kushida then hits Berretta and Gedo with a springboard back elbow strike to drop both of them, Gedo and Kushida go through a series of roll ups to get a bunch of near falls. Kushida locks Gedo in the kimura and a tap out follows.

Winners: Kushida, Tiger Mask IV & Jushin Liger

Match #4 – Chaos (Toru Yano & Yoshi-Hashi) vs. Manabu Nakanishi & Yuji Nagata

This bout kicks off with Nakanishi holding Yoshi-Hashi in a headlock, Yoshi-Hashi breaks free and Nakanishi drops him with a shoulder tackle. Yoshi-Hashi then drops kicks a charging Nakanishi, but Nakanishi quickly recovers to drop Yoshi-Hashi with a shoulder tackle. Nagata tags in and he teams with Nakanishi to hit Yoshi-Hashi with a double shoulder tackle, Yano tags in and he immediately starts messing with Nagata. Nagata gets angry and he just starts beating Yano up, Nagata starts nailing Yano with some forearm strikes. Nagata eventually kicks Yano off the ring apron and onto the arena floor, but Yano recovers and he throws Nagata into the barricade before ripping a turnbuckle pad off of the corner. Yano waits for Nagata to return to the ring before tossing him into the exposed turnbuckle, Yoshi-Hashi tags in and he nails Nagata with a running clothesline for a near fall.

Yoshi-Hashi again throws Nagata into the exposed turnbuckle before tagging Yano in, Yano then decides to throw Nagata into that turnbuckle as well. Nagata recovers and he drops Yano with an inzaguri, Nakanishi tags in and he immediately attacks Yano with forearm strikes. Nakanishi also drops Yoshi-Hashi with a series of chops as well, Nagata gets back in the ring and a four way brawl erupts. Nakanishi drops Yano with a lariat for the near fall, Nakanishi gets Yano up in the torture rack and Yoshi-Hashi breaks it up. Yano gets the referee distracted before catching Nakanishi with a low blow, then he rolls him up for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Toru Yano & Yoshi-Hashi)

Match #5 - Tag Team Match: Katsuyori Shibata & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. TenCozy (Satoshi Kojima & Hiroshi Tenzan)

This one starts off with Tenzan and Shibata exchanging forearm strikes in the center of the ring, Shibata backs Tenzan into the corner while landing some big shots. Tenzan then hits Shibata with shoulder chops before getting hit with a knee lift, Taguchi tags in and he stomps away on Tenzan. Tenzan breaks free and he makes the tag to Kojima, Kojima and Taguchi both pretend like they are going to hip attack the other. Kojima and Taguchi then go through a series of reversals with nobody getting a clear advantage, Kojima then drops Taguchi with a shoulder tackle before tagging Tenzan in. Tenzan and Kojima then drop Taguchi with a double shoulder tackle, Shibata drags Tenzan out of the ring and the two brawl out there. Taguchi then catches Kojima with a shot to his knee, Taguchi then hip attacks the injured knee of Kojima. Taguchi then starts attacking Kojima with his patented hip attacks, Shibata tags in and he attacks the hurt knee of Kojima by locking him in a figure four leg lock.

Kojima survives in the hold for a long time before getting to the ropes to break it up, Shibata then nails Tenzan with a big boot that knocks him off the ring apron and into the barricade. Kojima then takes advantage of that by laying Shibata out with a DDT, Tenzan tags in and he immediately attacks Shibata with a plethora of punches. Tenzan also nails Shibata with a bunch of head butts as well, Tenzan then hits Shibata with a suplex for the near fall. Tenzan and Shibata exchange forearm strikes in the center of the ring until Tenzan goes down, Shibata then hits a downed Tenzan with a running drop kick. Tenzan eventually gets back up and he drops Shibata with a head butt, Shibata then drops a charging Tenzan with an STO. Kojima and Taguchi tag in and Kojima nails his foe with his patented chop attack, Taguchi quickly recovers to hit Kojima with a flying hip attack. Taguchi then hits Kojima with a top rope hip attack for a near fall, Taguchi follows that up by hitting Kojima and Tenzan with more hip attacks.

Kojima then hits Taguchi with an ace crusher from out of nowhere, Kojima then hits Shibata with an ace crusher as well. Taguchi gets back up and he drops Kojima with an inzaguri and another hip attack for the near fall, Kojima levels taguchi with a lariat from out of nowhere to get the three count.

Winners: TenCozy (Satoshi Kojima & Hiroshi Tenzan)

After the match, Katsuyuri Shibata and Hiroshi Tenzan continue fighting until NJPW officials finally break it all up.

Match #6 - Elimination Tag Match: Team NJPW (Juice Robinson, Michael Elgin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tomoaki Homna & Togi Makabe) vs. Bullet Club (Tanga Roa, Tama Tonga, Yujiro Takahashi, Bad Luck Fale & Kenny Omega)

This one begins with all ten competitors brawling all over the ring until the Bullet Club clears the ring of Team NJPW, all five of the Bullet Club members focus on Makabe until the rest of Team NJPW returns to the ring. Homna and Makabe then drop Tonga with a double shoulder block, Homna eventually drops Tonga with a clothesline after a bunch of reversals. Homna misses his head butt and Tonga misses his follow up head butt attempt, Robinson and Takahashi tag in and Robiinson sends Takahashi right into Tonga. Robinson then hits Takahashi with a running avalanche that is followed by an overhead release suplex for a near fall, Fale interferes and he droops Robinson before another all out brawl breaks out between all ten competitors. Omega starts choking Robinson with his shirt as they battle inside the ring, Roa tags in and he quickly hits Robinson with a falcon arrow and leg drop for a near fall.

Tonga tags in and he double teams Robinson with his brother, Tonga then hits Robinson with a leg drop of his own before tagging Omega in. Omega then hits Robinson with a drop kick to the back of the head, Omega follows that up by choking Robinson in the corner. Omega continues attacking Robinson with forearm strikes before eating a back elbow strike, Tanahashi gets the tag in and he immediately attacks all Bullet Club members. Tanahashi goes to the middle rope and Omega knocks him off, Tanahashi then hits Omega with a dragon screw leg whip. Fale eventually gets the tag after another brawl breaks out between the teams, Bullet Club then hits Tanahashi with five consecutive avalanche splashes before Fale hits him with a Samoan drop for the near fall. Fale misses an avalanche of his own and he accidentally takes out some of his own team, Takahashi tags in and he fights with Tanahashi.

Tanahashi makes the comeback by nailing Takahashi with a spinning neck breaker, Elgin gets the tag and he hits Takahashi with a top rope shoulder tackle. Elgin follows that up by hitting Takahashi with some running forearm strikes, Elgin clocks an interfering Omega as well. Elgin then hits Takahashi and Omega with a stereo fall away slam, Elgin then hits Takahashi with a modified falcon arrow for a near fall. Takahashi fights back and he hits Elgin with a jaw breaker, Elgin quickly recovers to crush Takahashi with a buckle comb. Elgin then grabs Oomega and he buckle bombs him right into Takahashi, Elgin then hits Takahashi with a sit out power bomb for the three count.

Eliminated: Yujiro Takahashi

Omega gets up and he nails both Tanahashi and Elgin with super kicks, Elgin dumps Omega on the ring apron and the two exchange forearm strikes. Elgin nearly knocks Omega off the ring apron and Bullet Club catches him, Omega eventually gets Elgin to the ring apron as well. Elgin knocks himself and Omega off the ring apron when he death valley drivers him onto Bullet Club for a double elimination.

Eliminated: Michael Elgin & Kenny Omega

The match continues with Robinson taking out both Tonga and Roa, Robinson then hits Roa with a cannonball in the corner before going to the top rope. Tonga crotches Robinson on the top rope, which allows Roa to suplex him off of the top rope before crushing him with an avalanche. Roa and Tonga hit Robinson with an elevated DDT for the three count.

Eliminated: Juice Robinson

The match continues with Homna taking out both Tonga and Roa, Homna and Makabe hit Roa with a double clothesline. Homna then hits Roa with a diving head butt for the near fall, Homna sets up for a top rope head butt and Tonga distracts him. Roa then knocks Homna to the ring apron and they continue to fight, Roa eventually drop kicks Homna to the ground below for an elimination.

Eliminated: Tomoaki Homna

Roa immediately attacks Makabe in the corner as the match continues on, Roa then drops a charging Makabe with a clothesline. Roa then hits Makabe with a running power slam for the near fall, Roa goes to the top rope and Makabe clotheslines him off and knocks him to the arena floor for the elimination.

Eliminated: Tanga Roa

Makabe continues the momentum for his team by dropping both Tonga and Fale with a double clothesline, Tonga then clotheslines himself and Makabe out of the ring for the double elimination.

Eliminated: Toma Tonga & Togi Makabe

The match continues with Fale attempting to dump Tanahashi out of the ring, but Tanahashi hits him with a German suplex and sling blade instead. Fale then rolls through a high cross body from Tanahashi to hit him with the spike for a two count, Tanahashi avoids the Fale power bomb. Fale then decides to just crush Tanahashi with a spear and then he sets up for the next power bomb, but Tanahashi rolls through and he rolls up Fale for the three count.

Eliminated: Bad Luck Fale

Winners: Team NJPW (Juice Robinson, Michael Elgin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tomoaki Homna & Togi Makabe)

After the match, Bad Luck Fale attacks Hiroshi Tanahashi and some of the young boys at ringside as well.

Main Event - Six Man Tag Team Match: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Tomoro Ishii & Hirooki Goto) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi & Evil)

The main event begins with Naito and Okada having a face off, Okada attacks Naito first and naito quickly knocks him out of the ring. Evil tags in and Goto then tags in for his team as well, the two stand in the middle of the ring and exchange forearm strikes. The two then charge at each other until Goto drops Evil with a knee strike, but Evil gets up quickly and he crushes Goto with a clothesline. Goto recovers fast to hit Evil with a spin kick and a suplex for a two count, Bushi interferes and that allows Evil to clothesline himself and Goto out of the ring. A brawl then breaks out on the outside of the ring between both teams, Evil starts working over Goto with a chair. Eviil brings Goto back into the ring and he quickly rips away at his face, Bushi tags in and he holds Goto in a chin lock. Bushi releases the hold to hit Goto with a drop kick to the back of the head, Naito tags in and he continues to work over Goto by hitting him with a back elbow strike.

Bushi tags himself back in and he immediately locks Goto in the STF, Goto eventually gets to the ropes to break the hold. Goto tries fighting back and Bushi goes to work on his knee. Goto eventually drops Bushi with a roaring clothesline before tagging Ishii in, Ishii attacks Bushi and he drops him with a shoulder tackle and clothesline. Ishii then lays out the other two members of Los Ingobernables, Ishii then lays out Bushi with a suplex for the near fall. Bushi recovers and he catches Ishii with a kick to the face, Bushi follows that up by nailing Ishii with a missile drop kick. Ishii recovers by catching a charging Bushi with a power slam, Bushi gets up quickly to hit Ishii with a spinning fisherman buster suplex. Naito hits the ring and attacks both members of Chaos, Naito then hits Ishii with a back breaker that is followed by a drop kick. Naito follows that up by nailing Ishii with a neck breaker before going to the top rope, Ishii follows him up there and the two battle it out.

Ishii then catches Naito with a delayed vertical suplex from the middle rope, Okada tags in and he quickly nails Naito with a DDT and drop kick for the two count. Naito tries fighting back and Okada locks him in a modified STF, Evil breaks ip up and Ookada quickly sends him out of the ring. That distraction gives Naito the opening to hit Okada with a tornado DDT, Naito then hits Okada with a rope assisted drop kick in the corner. Naito keeps the pressure on Okada by hitting him with an inzaguri that is followed by a pump handle slam, Naito escapes a Rain Maker attempt to hit Okada with a flying forearm strike. Evil tags in and he hits Okada with a charging back elbow strike and clothesline, Eviil then hits Ookada with a fisherman buster suplex. Evil then hits Okada with a modified falcon arrow for the two count, Bushi and Evil then work over Ishii before focusing on Okada again. Los Ingobernables then hit Okada with a series of triple team maneuvers for a near fall, Goto rreturns to the ring and he is promptly tossed into the referee.

Goto gets up and he takes out Naito and Evil with his modified back breaker, Okada then hits Evil with a kryptonite crunch neck breaker that is followed by a frog splash. Bushi hits the ring and Okada takes him out with the Rain Maker, Okada then hits Evil with a tombstone pile driver and the Rain Maker to get the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Tomoro Ishii & Hirooki Goto)

After the match, Tetsuya Naito attacks Gedo and then Kazuchika Okada cuts a post match promo.
