Welterweight fighter Joao Carvalho died following injuries sustained in a fight this past weekend at a Total Extreme Fighting event, he was 28 years old. Carvalho was defeating by fellow welterweight Charlie Ward via TKO at the event, he was sent to the hospital at the recommendation of medical staff on site at the event. What soon followed was emergency brain surgery, he ultimately had passed away from injuries this past Monday, he had a 1-2-0 professional MMA record.
