SHIMMER RETURNS JUNE 24-26 IN CHICAGO!
The next live events for SHIMMER Women Athletes will take place on June 24th, 25th, and 26th in the Chicago area! Friday evening, June 24th (8pm start) is SHIMMER 81 at Logan Square Auditorium (2539 N. Kedzie Blvd.) in Chicago, IL. Saturday, June 25th (3pm start) will feature SHIMMER 82 & 83, also at Logan Square. Sunday, June 26th (1pm start) will feature SHIMMER 84 & 85 at the Eagles Club (6309 26th St.) in Berwyn, IL.
Tickets for all three days are now on sale. A handful of front row reserved seats are still up for grabs, if you act fast! Second row reserved seats and general admission (not assigned) seats are also available.

DVD VOLUMES 72-75 AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER!
The next four DVD releases in the SHIMMER series are Volumes 72-75. Volumes 72 & 73 will finally be in stock to begin shipping later this month, for those who have already pre-ordered them. Volumes 74 & 75 will be released a few weeks later, during early June.

History was made on Saturday afternoon, April 2nd in Dallas, as the all female promotion SHIMMER Women Athletes presented SHIMMER 80 as part of the WWN Live Experience! The event featured a twelve woman single elimination tournament to crown the inaugural holder of the Heart of SHIMMER Championship!
During SHIMMER's first 10 years of operation, two SHIMMER championships were established. SHIMMER 11 & 12 in 2007 featured a two day SHIMMER Championship tournament, while SHIMMER 21 in 2008 included a gauntlet to determine the first SHIMMER Tag Team Champions. With SHIMMER's notoriously large roster of female professional wrestlers from around the world, a third championship added to the mix will provide the athletes on the roster with a new goal to achieve during year 11 and beyond!
Fans in Dallas for SHIMMER 80 saw six first round tournament matches, three second round matches, and a three-way elimination tournament final bout to determine the first Heart of SHIMMER Champion!

As part of the SHIMMER 10th Anniversary weekend festivities, a Question & Answer session with the wrestlers was held at Cigars & Stripes in Berwyn, IL. The Q&A took place on Saturday, October 10, 2015, with Amber Gertner serving as moderator. She fielded questions from the intoxicated SHIMMER fans in attendance, as the SHIMMER crew downed a few themselves. While SHIMMER events are typically a "family show," that was not necessarily true for this Q&A session, where the alcohol was certainly flowing!
