CHRIS HERO RETURNS TO SMASH WRESTLING FOR CHARITY

Smash Wrestling and Chris Hero tag team to raise funds for local charity

On July 9, 2016 "The Knock Out Artist" Chris Hero comes to Fort Erie, ON to compete in our main event to raise money for upgrades to the CPRI Treatment Center in London Ontario for children with a variety of mental health issues. The match was put together by Hero's opponent Jeremy Elliot, in association with Smash Wrestling. Elliot's 9 year-old godson, William, is a patient at the CPRI Treatment Center and Hero jumped at the opportunity to compete for the cause. The event takes place at the Fort Erie Native Friendship Center located at 796 Buffalo Rd. Fort Erie, ON. Doors open at 6pm with the first match getting underway at 7pm.

The CPRI Treatment Centre is a mental health facility that ensures children are properly diagnosed for a variety of mental health and behavioural issues, such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Bi-Polar, ADHD, Autism and anxiety. The CPRI Treatment Center also ensures its patients are getting a proper education and promotes the overall success in the lives of their patients. As this is a lengthy task, many of their patients remain at the facility throughout the week and in an effort to promote the quality of life for these children, Smash Wrestling is raising money to allow the CPRI Treatment Centre to provide upgrades to their Unit 5, where the children stay overnight.

Chris Hero and Smash Wrestling have combined in charitable efforts in the past when he competed against WWE's Samoa Joe and in a 3-Hour Gauntlet Match in June of 2015. Smash Wrestling is a family-friendly promotion, inclusive to all of our fans and we are incredibly proud to once again help a local community and support a cause we strongly believe in.
